I recently purchased the Ontel Pillow Pad, and it has quickly become one of my favorite accessories for using my tablet and phone. Like many of the other reviews, it arrived shrunk wrapped and flimsy. Huge disappointment. I’ll try some of the wetting and dryer recommendations I’ve read here, then send it back if not acceptable. Not at all like my 5 yr old grey. Nor the blue, which was fine, that I bought last month. UPDATE: I used the wet towel and dampening the pillow for 3 rounds in the dryer, 15 mins each time. Waiting 30 mins between each. Also unzipped it and found it is hallow in the middle, just put a few small soft towels in there to fill it out. It is now absolutely fine and usable. I’m happy with these results. Same shape and firmness as my others. The color is a rich maroon and matches my other decor. SUCCESS! Keeper! 4.5 star rating only because I had to spend so much time working out the kinks.

These used to be great. This is the 4th one I’ve purchased. I had no reason to check reviews, as it’s the same one I’ve had three of. I’ve had this one for 3 days, and it still hasn’t opened up to its intended shape, and doesn’t look like it ever will. You can see in my photos, the difference between my old one and this new one. Now I see in the reviews that this is a recurring problem with these. I’m returning for a refund.

I needed to write this review, because at first opening this item, I was very upset thinking I wasted money, or I’d have to do a return, so wanted to share my story with others, to help others with possibly the same feelings they might be having. I waited 48 hours after opening this pillow for it to what I called "Wake Up" and form to size! It NEVER did. After reading the instructions for taking wrinkles out, I decided to put it in the dryer. I did so for 10 minutes like it said, and I saw a very slight improvement. So with that, I decided to do another 10 minutes in the dryer, without the damp facecloth. And saw another improvement. Well, after repeating this and adding the dryer time to 20 minutes each time, about an hour to 2 hours later, I had a beautiful Pillow Pad for my iPad. I don’t know why they don’t suggest this in their instructions? My other thought was, I live in the North, and it’s Winter, so very cold. Not that my house isn’t heated, but maybe the foam needs more heat, like Summer sun???? I don’t know. Just sharing my story and thoughts to give others hope and a direction to try. Why the 4 stars and not 5, because maybe the company should include this tip of the Dryer Time in their instructions.

I’d give it 10 stars if I could. I’ve owned the same one for five years, a few small stains, that is on me but it stills functions great!! No stuffing coming out, no drooping or sagging. I use mine multiple times a week for five years and still do not need a new one! Now that is quality, durability and a great product. I purchased an off brand to see if it would save me money and it was shapeless and falling apart out of the bag it came in. It was promptly returned to Amazon and my Flippy brand works great after all these years.

I bought this for my mom as a Christmas gift and she loves it, she doesn't have to worry about the tablet slipping and falling because it doesn't slide, shes able to be in other positions with the pillow rather than just proping it up on our coffee table and leaning over from the couch to use her tablet. Plus it has a side holder for your phone or maybe even a small snack!

I've owned one of these I purchased at a local store and it was more firm and stood up better than this one is able. It comes shipped in a box, vacuum condensed, which ended up wrinkling the foam (which you can't fix) and cover badly enough the cover needed to be removed to iron it. It did expand properly but it does have a circular gap in the center of the foam that doesn't allow the pillow to be very firm. The cover is well built but just a tiny bit too big for the foam so it doesn't fit that great and you have to smooth it to support your tablet(etc). It does the job and is soft to the touch but the foam isn't the most supportive. It's large enough to support a 13 inch tablet but it doesn't stand up very well to the weight of one. "It will do" isn't the sentiment I was hoping for in replacing the previous gifted away pillow I had.

I bought it twice, first time was perfect but the second one was just not right. Several days later it was still flat.. Other than that I love it.. So I think I'll order it again..

Really helpful, and comfortable to use. It stops my arthritic hands and arms from being painful with holding a tablet or book.
