Peterson Mfg V5415 Harness Adaptor, 7 to 5-Way, Flat, 4"

Parts stores are carrying less and less. I needed a 7 way to 5 flat adapter and the local A (****) stores didn't have them. Came exactly as described. Works well so far. I would buy again, but I hope I don't need to.

This is my third 7-to-5 adapter. The first one I lost, the second one I gave away thinking I no longer needed one (before discovering that Ford makes a habit of always providing 4 pins in the slot form), and now I have this one. This is a short little adapter, about an inch shorter than the comparable Reese one (first and second ones owned). It has seven slots one end, and five holes the other, with the top hole not surrounded by a plastic "shield". What else to say? It fits snugly into the round receiver, and whatever you're plugging into it will be held firmly. The lights on my trailer come on when they're supposed to, and turn off when I say so; and the brakes have power. Hopefully this is the last 7-to-5 adapter I ever need to buy.

Ordered for a Lexus GX460. Works great, good plastic hopefully should last. Haven't seen what it is like in water (boat trailer).

The price was good and the product worked well for my 1700 mile road trip. There's a couple of selections when it comes to 5 way to 7 way adapters and I like the design of this one better. It's a clean design without any bulbous protrusions.

I had a different one of these that constantly wiggled while pulling my boat & the lights would short in and out. This one on the other hand, fits nice & snug with no shorting.

Best price out there. This is the 2nd one I bought within a month since I left the 1st one sitting on my bumper. Since I bought a new trailer I needed this adapter so the brakes would unlock when I shifted into reverse. I should probably buy another one for when I lose it again. Using on my 2008 Toyota Tundra.
