Bought on a drunken whim when I couldn't find it streaming somewhere. I've watched this movie tons of time on Tv over the years, but the extended version is totally worth it. Please enjoy the music and the history this movie brings. Would buy again💯

It's the music!
Blues Brothers and Blues Brothers 2000 is about the music not so much the story. 2000 is a copy of the original with the same plot: "We're getting the band back together;" pointless car chases and crashes of police cars. But the music in both and particularly in 2000 is great if you love the music of the last half of the 20th Century. Great R&B, Blues, Soul, Rock 'n' Roll. In 2000 the Blues Bros. Band plays a battle of the bands in a voodoo priestess house deep in the bayous of Louisiana. The other band is fronted by the late B.B. King. Other band members: Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Clarence Clemmons, Jimmie Vaughn (Stevie Rays bro.), Isaac Hayes, Koko Taylor, et al. Aretha Franklin appears in both movies. The great Queen of Soul. The music is so much better than today's lame groups with no 'soul.' Enjoy the flicks for the music and a little humor.
