Fixing to the wall, was easy with good strong bolts in the pack, nice and solid. The plastic outer is not as strong, it scratches way too easily, even when I just carefully placed it on the patio, it scuffed as you can see in the pictures. Other than this, the hose is water tight, and the hand held trigger has a number of outputs which are in the main useful, while the whole hose looks nice with our colour scheme. The big question is will it last, I don't know, it feels like care is needed to ensure the spring continues to retract the hose, hopefully it will last at least 3 - 5yrs. Overall I like this hose, it could do with better outer cover, and then it would be a 5star product.

I bought this item in May 2023. It was reasonably easy to put on a wall and it has been well used since then. Until recently the automatic retraction of the hose worked well. However it jammed a week ago and I couldn’t pull the hose out or feed it back in. I contacted Giraffe Tools via Amazon and had a swift reply. They asked for some photos and a video so they could see what was wrong. Giraffe are now sending me a free replacement which I think is excellent customer service. So a big recommendation from me for both a good product and a good company.

So easy to fix to the wall. When the water is on there is no leaks, so easy to move side to side and the pulling out the hose takes a little bit of pulling but not that hard. I found that the last bit to pull then release it then stops it from trying to pull in the hose pipe. When you have finished pull the hose pipe & it then starts to wind in the pipe. No hassle in it pulling in the pipe but don't let it go because I find it really pulls it in very fast. It's great that there is a stopper on the hose pipe before the gun and that can be altered which is great if you want the end of your hose pipe to be longer or shorter once it's reeled it back in. Not cheap but so far I'm please with the cost of this product because it's easy to use and it works very well. So much better than any of my old hand wind in hose reels which used to get stuck, pipe get twisted, handle broke on one when i was winding in the pipe and some even leaked before it had put water in the pipe. These should of been out many years ago. I would recommend this to anybody who is looking for a hosepipe reel & wants an easy life.

First time I used this Hose reel it jammed and it would not recoil looking inside the plastic recoil syetm was very flimsy. The hose itself was OK and the nozzle but workings were very poor not strong enough for the amount of hose on the reel.

A bit cheaply finished. The bracket needed to be raised with 10mm spacers to stop body hitting the wall when folding. The canister looks wonky folded although brackets are true. They need to work on the bracket, needs to be deeper and angled to store horizontal. The hose retracted ok. Supplied bolts and plugs are sufficient- I used a nut runner 13mm. The hose gun is not the one in the video. The pictures are accurate-gun is cheap and small.

Anfangs war ich abgeneigt wegen einiger Rezessionen diesen Artikel zu bestellen, hab ihn dann dennoch bestellt und muss sagen, TOP Produkt. Artikel ist super gut verpackt angekommen. Die Schlauchbox ist sehr stabil, das Kunststoff wirkt sehr hochwertig. Die Montage mit den mitgelieferten Montagematerial war sehr einfach und ausreichend stabil. Der Gartenschlauch ist auch in einer super Qualität und Knick sicher. Die Aufrollung funktioniert einwandfrei. Natürlich sollte man den Schlauch bei der Aufrollung nicht einfach loslassen, aber sagt der gesunde Hausverstand. Bin mehr als zu frieden damit, Preis/Leistung spitze.

I was real surprised how quickly this heater chord gets hot and melts my ice dammed gutters. I will be buying two more to cover the other gutters around the house. Very happy with this product.
