Reliable Relief for Sinus Congestion and Dryness
Iโve been using Polaris Nasal Oil for several years and itโs become a staple in my routine. I live in a dry climate, and this oil is great for keeping my nasal passages moisturized. But where it really shines is when my sinusitis flares up or I feel congestion coming on. It has helped stop sinus infections in their tracks and clear up blocked passages more than once. Iโve used both the dropper and Q-tip methods to apply itโboth work. The dropper is easy to use (just tilt your head back or lie down), though sometimes the oil may drip down your throat or out of your nose if youโre upright. I usually use this method when Iโm really stuffed up. For daily maintenance, I prefer using a Q-tip to apply a small amount of oil inside each nostril. The scent is noticeable due to the essential oils, but I donโt find it overpowering. If youโre sensitive to smells, it might take a little getting used to. A single bottle usually lasts me six months or longer, depending on how frequently and how much I use. Considering the effectiveness and longevity, I find it to be excellent value for the price. Highly recommend if you deal with sinus issues or live in a dry environment.

Absolutely Amazing For People Like Me Undergoing Chemo!
I am currently undergoing Chemo, and the nosebleeds have been horrific. They have gotten so bad that tears well up in my eyes each time I have to blow my nose (and that's all day long with Chemo). Painful sores have now formed in my nostrils. I keep hearing that it's common from the nurses at the hospital where I receive treatment, but they have no real answers on how to lessen this nightmare. I have spent a fortune here at Amazon, and bought up every nose product you can think of, and everything was a disappointing bust for me. No relielf, and many have Petroleum, which is quite dangerous if it gets into the lung (google). When this arrived, I expected it to be a disappointment too, but I tried it, and couldn't believe what I was feeling from just one application! This soothes your nose like nothing else out there (no wonder NASA has been using this for years)! I've been using it for about 5 days now and the sores are disappearing! My nose still hurts a bit, but nothing like it did before (and it's rather hard to abate this completely when you are doing Chemo). I don't use the dropper because it's just too much oil for me (although I've noticed some reviews stating that it soothes your throat when it runs down your nose if you are ill). I found a perfect system with a simple Q-Tip! I just twist the cap off of the bottle, dip a Q-tip in letting it get fully saturated, slowly and carefully, I rub the oil into each nostril until the sores and everything are fully treated, I just sniff in gently what I just applied, and it's perfect! It unclogs any congestion I have, and is working on the dryness and sores at the same time! WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE! I really needed this now! Thank you! Wow!

Don't use a lot
I have almost open wound like sores on the inside of my nose. Had a septoplasty and now have a perforation of my septum. My nose is always dry, to the point where the mucus hardens and once I clear the hardened blockage it's almost the feeling of ripping off a scab where it's an open wound that burns. Nothing has helped. My nose is almost always swollen and tender and it causes excruciating pain. I read the reviews for this product and saw it worked well for people with similar issues. I decided to give it a try. Just received it today. Definitely need to follow other's recommendations and only use a tiny bit. I was pleasantly surprised that it did not burn as the inside of my nose has cracks and open sores. This did not burn or irritate. Was very soothing and the scent of the pine oil and peppermint were very helpful. However, this led me to get bold and add some more. Big mistake. Adding more made it do the opposite and start drying my nasal cavities out more than before. I definitely think this will really help when used sparingly. Will update with further progress.

This stuff is great, and the packaging is a bonus.
My nose gets uncomfortably dry on the inside during the winter. Every morning I wake up with a dry inner-nasal area. I used to use petroleum jelly on it, which helped somewhat. Then, my dad, who has dealt with frequent nosebleeds, highly recommended Ponaris (his ENT specialist recommended it to him). I asked my pharmacist for it and she just looked confused and said "you mean, saline?". So, as with everything, I found it was available on Amazon. This stuff is great. It kept my nose feeling nice all night -- more so than petroleum jelly. And the last bullet point on the box says that it helps alleviate "nasal mucosal encrustations" -- totally true -- definitely less of those, which makes it nearly magical if you ask me. It smells nice, in my opinion -- menthol-ly, minty, piney -- much nicer than petroleum jelly. It can be a little messy to apply, but that's not a problem for me since I use it before bed & end up lying down shortly after applying. Also, as my dad pointed out, it's natural -- better than putting petroleum up your nose. The bonus is the packaging. First, the box has an astronaut on it! This advertises the fact that it is in the NASA medical kit for astronauts. If you look closely, you can see that the little astronaut is on a space walk and is carrying a medical kit with a little "Rx" label on it. You can be like an astronaut if you use it -- so cool. Astronauts are seriously awesome. Second, the box shouts "IT'S NOT A SECRET!". This is both mildly funny and mildly confusing, but you can rest easy knowing it's OK to tell your friends about it. Third, as I mentioned above, the last bullet point on the box refers to "nasal mucosal encrustations" -- now I know the medical term for boogers. I love everything about this product. No more uncomfortable nose, *and* the little astronaut makes me smile every time.

Lifesaver if you suffer from dry nostrils or nose bleeds - Great for frequent travelers!
This has been a life changer for me. This was recommended to me by an ENT after a series of sinus infections left me with an incessant cough. I loved how the drops cleared my congestion and soothed the inside of my nose, but I hated the dribbling oil down my lip, or worse - my throat. My nurse suggested using them at night, so I didn't suffer from the embarrassment of oil sliding out of my nose while I spoke to a human in the day light. So I used it until it was gone and then forgot about it. I've been working in a job that requires me to travel several times a month, for the last couple years. This has been hell for my sinuses. The recycled air of the airplanes, the dry hotel air, and quick climate changes meant that I would frequently get sick, my nose would always be dry and cracked and painful, and I would often suffer from nose bleeds. I had been using AYR nasal gel for a long time - I would place a drop of the gel on a cotton swab and rub it along the inside of my nose. And it soothed my nostrils, especially when they would get so dry they'd crack and bleed. But it only soothed, it didn't heal or prevent. So I was just constantly putting it in my nose. It was impractical and I suspected not helpful, but I couldn't go back to doing nothing and dealing with that pain. Then I remembered Ponaris, but I still dreaded the drip; until I read some reviews of users applying the oil with a q-tip - then everything changed. I dip a q-tip in Ponaris and swab the inside of one nostril and use the other end of the swab on the other nostril. I try to do this day and night, if I'm traveling or in a dry climate. If I feel sick, or especially dry, I apply Ponaris as often as I need it. This has solved a major problem that plagued me - I can breathe better, sleep better, I'm sick less often (if at all), and most importantly - I'm more comfortable. If you've ever suffered from chronic sinusitis, you know that it's no fun when breathing hurts! I wish I had been using this for the last decade. I can't imagine not having it in my daily routine now.

This stuff is amazing...
A couple of months ago, I was started on a medication that (true to its known side effects) caused dry mucous membranes. Eventually, my dry mouth went away but I was left with exceptionally dry and painful nasal passages. For weeks, I have been searching for something that will help. I've tried hypotonic and isotonic saline sprays, gel moisturizers with hyaluronic acid and glycerin, and even petroleum jelly based products. At best, I would get a few hours relief but only with a thick layer of Vaseline placed inside the nose. Even if I used it at night, I would still wake up just as dry and uncomfortable. Having had a lack of normal secretions for so long, I was really starting to get concerned. Enter Ponaris, which I found while looking for pharmaceutical products to treat this condition. I used it Tuesday night and woke up Wednesday feeling 100x better. Over the course of the day, the most remarkable thing happened... my nasal secretions started to return. I know this sounds kind of gross, but it's really quite nice to finally have a little bit of snot in my nose! It seems as if what this product does, which the others failed to do, is to actually correct the underlying problem and allow the tissues to heal themselves. The oil is light, non-irritating and has a pleasant smell. I found that applying it with a Q-tip inside nostrils worked well for me. If you are suffering, try this stuff. I'm really glad I finally did!!
