Verena Street 12 Ounce Flavored Ground Coffee, Mississippi Grogg, Medium Roast, Rainforest Alliance Certified Arabica Coffee

I rarely take the time to write reviews, sorry for being a taker and less of a giver in these things. In this case, I've made an exception. This is definitely the most flavorful ground coffee I have ever brewed. You generally assume that you can't please everyone when it comes to coffee, but this comes pretty close. Not only does the aroma fill the room with a pleasantness that just lifts your spirits to a new high, but the taste is so rich in flavor that it satisfies all the critics in the room. Often with strong smelling brews you find that the aroma is stronger than the taste. Mississippi Grogg tastes just as amazing as it smells and that my friends is not easy to find, especially in a brew at this price point. I highly recommend. ** I recently bought a 2lb bag, having taken a hiatus from this one for a while. I have a single-cup machine on my desk, despite the office having an industrial fancy bean grinding machine offering free coffee. And yet, I have coworkers offering to pay for a cup despite me offering to share for free.

Once in awhile I like to try a flavored coffee. I've had some other flavored coffees in the recent past that didn't have much flavor which was ok with me. This one though I found rather strong on flavor. In order to finish this bag out I'll have to mix it with a regular coffee. Overall though the coffee is good. I really enjoy this brand.

Verena Street is our favorite and haven’t tried a flavor we didn’t enjoy.

I looked this up on a lark because we had some in a coffee shop, and I liked it. Imagine my surprise when I could buy 2 lbs for about the same price as a couple of cups in the coffee shop! We even use it as an add-on to our regular coffee to stretch the flavoring some.

The Mississippi Grogg is a big hit in our staff lounge. I hadn't heard of Verena Street before but took a chance on it after scrolling dozens of other brands/flavors on Amazon. I will definitely be buying another bag. I'll brew a pot 2-3 times a week as a random treat for the department, especially on rainy or hectic days. We have a standard-issue office paper-filter drip coffee machine with a 12-cup pot, but this flavor doesn't need fancy coffee-snob equipment to bring smiles to the staff. The lounge is an enclosed, decent-size 15' square room, and 15 minutes after brewing, the warm buttery-caramel essences of this flavor fill the room and makes everyone take a deep breath and say "Mmmmmm!" when they walk in. Even people who don't drink coffee say they love the aroma. The taste is well-balanced too -- just enough that you get to enjoy something much better than office supply bulk-purchase Folgers, but not so much that you feel like you're drinking syrup rather than good old coffee. The staff pot empties MUCH faster when it's filled with Mississippi Grogg. I like it with plain half&half or coconut-milk based creamer. Tastes great without even needing sugar or those over-processed mainstream sweetened flavored creamers.
