After botching up some tiles, I stopped trying to use this for the face cut and only used it to do the edge cut. The problems I had were: 1 - the tool marred the surface of the tile. I had to put some painter's tape along the face of the tile to prevent that from happening. 2 - the tool didn't make a clean cut, even when making several passes of increasing depth. 3 - The width of the recess on a factory tile is 3/8". This cuts only 1/4" and sometimes that extra 1/8" makes a difference, especially if you are cutting opposite sides. I think where this tool came in really handy was in making the edge cut. I could set the depth to 3/8" and run the tool along the edge from the bottom side of the tile, then run over the face edge with a utility knife and a straight edge to make a nice, clean cut. It is really hard to get that edge cut with a utility knife, so this saved me some time.

Blade is extremely low so to edge a existing ceiling tile it is useless the tegular tiles are thick meaning that the blade must be raised up this is not possible save your money

Used this today for the first time. It cuts the horizontal cut for a shadow line ceiling tile perfectly. Clean and consistent depth of cut. Saves lots of time.

You see videos of the pros doing it free hand with a blade .. but this tool means anyone can do it. Simple solution to something that requires skill...

Good delivery

I'd give this zero stars if I could. Basically a $30 paper weight. Waste of money. I tried one tile with a brand new blade and not only did it cut like crap cause the blades aren't sharp, the metal rubbing along the tile scuffed a black line right across the whole white tile. Piece of crap. After I ruined one tile I went back to the regular knife. My knife does a much cleaner cut and doesn't damage the tiles. $30 for a piece of bent sheet metal and dull blades. Save your money.
