Redmond Multi Cooker 5.25-Quart, (RMC-)

good multi cooker. cooks meat very very good. I don't use it for baking, but all the other food is very easy to cook with this machine. steamed fish and vegetable, yogurt... mmm tasty. easy to clean as well.

Well, I am on the fence about this one.This brand is so hyped up in Europe and many people are using Redmond multi cooker.I was very excited when I saw this on Amazon.Anticipation was building and then Redmond multi cooker arrived.First of all,design is gorgeous and it looks sharp in my kitchen.As for cooking ability, well, that's another matter. I started very simply with Mac and cheese recipe. Easy,right?Not with this cooker. It took almost 15 minutes to boil water in the multicooker, then signal beeped and I put pasta inside. It boiled again and then water started to come out from the steam valve.According to the instructions, that's not supposed to happen. Started looking for a customer support number in the paperwork. Guess what? No number found, found the website from distributor of this product in USA, but still no phone number, so the phone call option was out. Back to Mac and cheese,after pasta program run out, opened the lid and got pasta out. It was undercooked! At this point I just gave up with Redmond multicooker and put pasta in my trusted Instant Pot( which I highly reccomend!).After that I tried cooking omelet in Redmond multi cooker( did not rise, was flat), French toast( was undercooked ), again another pasta dish( takes forever and again undercooked).Honestly, after having experience with Instant Pot and Cuisinart multicooker, I am not impressed with Redmond.So far,hype was more than reality. By the way, it can bake, that's one of the main reasons why I bought it. I am going to try baking in it before giving my final opinion.
