Smart, silent, and colony-deep—NOPE! bait stations wipe out ants with gel tech and long-term punch.
🪰 NOPE! Ant Killer Bait Station – Full Review This 6-pack of bait stations is designed to eradicate entire ant colonies, not just surface-level foragers. Each trap is pre-loaded with a next-gen gel bait containing both a systemic insecticide and an insect growth regulator (IGR). The bait works via trophallaxis—ants carry it back to the nest and feed it to the queen and larvae, ensuring full colony collapse over time . The gel is more appetising than dry bait, so ants are drawn in even if you don’t see them entering the station. It’s safe for indoor and outdoor use, with Bitrex added to deter pets and children from tampering . The bait remains active for up to 4 weeks, and the traps are easy to place and monitor. ✅ Pros Dual-action formula—kills ants and disrupts colony reproduction Gel bait—more attractive and effective than dry bait Works indoors and outdoors—versatile placement Bitrex additive—child and pet deterrent Long-lasting—up to 4 weeks of protection Minimal clean-up—ants die inside the nest Easy setup—open, activate, place ❌ Cons Delayed action—takes time to reach the queen May not show visible ant activity—still working behind the scenes Refills not included—single-use stations Strong bait scent—keep away from food prep areas 🧠 Personal Verdict This kit’s a proper colony killer. I’ve seen it used near kitchens, patios, and bin areas, and it delivers—quietly, thoroughly, and without mess. The delayed-action gel is a win for deep nest penetration, and the safety features make it ideal for homes with pets or kids. For around £11.99, it’s a smart grab for anyone dealing with persistent ant problem

Didn’t work
Well didn’t work for our ants! They went all around it. Not inside! Wouldn’t buy again

Fast acting!
These work quickly! They also attract the ants well (if you place them in their path). I've previously used another brand and I had to either encourage them into the station by placing crumbs in it or by physically placing them in the station myself, because they just weren't interested. I didn't have that problem with these. The complete opposite in fact. I had ants coming in from the front door and from under the kitchen units. Unsure if they were from the same nest. I placed a station at the front door and in the kitchen on the floor where I saw them going under. Within hours there was huge activity at the station (especially in the dark) and within 24 hours there were almost no ants. It's been 5 days and I saw 1 ant yesterday so I'm going to leave the stations in place for a few weeks just to give it more time to get any stragglers. Will definitely purchase again if needed.

Bait station was a waste of money
Totally useless, the ants weren’t interested in these bait stations, extremely disappointed

Better than powder
Worked much better than ant powder although we still had some problems. Round dishes that the ants go inside, collect and take back to the nest. They were easy and safe to use especially as we have pets in the household.

Some sort of magic potion (or really potent chemical weapon?)
I’m shook… Ants are gone within 24 hrs… That scares me. Are they all dead, or - have they retreated and now are planning an uprising and we will be murdered in our beds? Let me rewind a bit. We have lots of black small ants under our patio, in the garden and I suspect- underneath foundations of an old, poorly built extension that offers convenient cracks for ants to enter. For years they have been able to get into extension every now and then, and scout for crumbs that kids left behind. This year, however, they had a plan to take over the entire house. They made a path through the room, hallway and into the kitchen, onto the kitchen surface. All you can eat buffet! For weeks I fought them. I cleaned, I hoovered, I sprayed with essential oil concoctions, sprinkled cinnamon and tried all sorts or other natural remedies to dis-orient little buggers, so that they would forget where kitchen was. No such luck. Steady little stream of ant warriors marched into my kitchen every day. I grew desperate. I searched for bait stations on Amazon and came across ‘Nope’. To be honest, I didn’t have much hope, but thought I’ll try anyway. Like I said, I was desperate. I laid stations along the route ants were following - some at starting point, some in the middle and some in the kitchen. Several interesting things happened within few hours - ants stopped going to the kitchen. They were all cramming themselves into the bait station at the entry point (where they were getting into the extension), so they lost interest in the kitchen right away. I moved two more bait stations to the entry point. THE NEXT DAY ANTS WERE GONE. Vanished. I’m baffled. Is it even possible for them to kill the nest in such a short time? Surely not…? This is either some sort of top class chemical weapon or black magic. Week later baits remain in the same spot, but no ant visitors (I knock on the wood as I write this). We are cautiously watching the space and I am praying the we haven’t created some sort of chemically enhanced Hulk like super-ants, that will rip floor boards out and carry our house away…

It has worked so far
We had a really bad ant problem, they were by the back door, the front, the kitchen sides and they even started coming into the living room. I put 5 bait stations down, one in every room we had seen them in, and 2 outside where we saw the most activity. I saw the ants going into the stations but they seemed to be dying in there, so I had doubts they were taking the bait back to the nest. However 5 days later we have no ants indoors anymore, so it seems to have worked and quickly too. I will leave the stations out & replace them over summer. I will say that on the last day I put one out there were about 15 ants that walked around the station and refused to go in, they literally walked in a line away from it! I swear they communicate & learn 😅

Worked eventually
Saw a reduction of ants after 24 hours but they slowly started increasing again. Put out more and after another week they seem to have all gone.
