Mr. Coffee 10-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker, Insulated Thermal Carafe, Brew Strength Selection, Brew Now or Later, Stainless Steel

This is an excellent coffee maker. Easy to use. Makes relatively hot coffee. Looks cool on your counter. Frankly, I've never found a "home" coffee maker that heats water over 200 degrees. If you want super hot coffee, go to Mickey Ds and get some scalding brew that's undrinkable for the first 5 minutes. This coffee maker doesn't leak, makes coffee quick, and is very user friendly. Tips...if you drink coffee with cream/milk, heat the cream/milk in the microwave for 50 seconds before adding coffee. After all, it's been sitting in your fridge at 40 degrees, so don't be surprised when you put it in your coffee straight from your fridge and it makes your coffee colder....duh! Clean your coffee maker regularly. I haven't always done this and it's ruined perfectly good coffee makers. I have a well, not city water so there's lots of stuff in the water that can affect the coffee maker. Make sure the carafe lid is seated correctly on the coffee maker and that the carafe is placed correctly in the coffee maker. Again, not rocket science. Finally, this coffee maker was $100. Not cheap but not $300+ either. Well, there you have it.

This was a replacement for a probably 15+ year old Mr. Coffee model BVMC-PSTX91-WM that my wife just loved. This model BVMC-DT102 coffee maker appears to be an updated version of our prior model. As far as we are concerned, this coffee maker is perfect in every way. Absolutely love the thermal stainless steel carafe which is a much better option than the el cheapo hotplate style makers with a glass carafe. No safety concerns or burnt coffee. With the press to pour lid you don’t have to contend with sloshing or spillage. Set it for delay brew and you can wake up to piping hot fresh coffee. The carafe keeps the coffee hot and fresh for hours. Simple to set and operate. No need to reset the delay brew time – remembers the prior setting. Just fill the water reservoir, add filter and coffee, push the button and you are good to go (but remember to empty any remaining coffee in the carafe or you will wake up to a puddle on your countertop – don’t ask how I know this). The removable water reservoir and filter basket are also great features. Makes getting the machine ready for its next round a breeze. While it is too soon to comment on long term reliability, have had it in service for about a week now. Probably brewed 10 or 12 pots of coffee in that time. No problems or concerns to report – functions exactly as it should. Would buy another in a minute and, since it is the wife’s favorite, I may do so to have a spare on hand just in case they are ever discontinued. Wish I could give it 10 stars!!

Wow! I completely worn out my old Mr. Coffee machine! It was corroded at the bottom corners & leaking. Corroded somewhere at the bottom of the machine in the middle & leaking! The thermal carafe was leaking where the top plastic part mets the carafe. I’ve had several Mr. Coffee’s. What I love is after brewing I unplug the machine. The coffee stays warm well into the late afternoon. The best coffee maker!

I am very disappointed that Mr. Coffee has reduced the quality of their product. When I received my Mr. Coffee I was excited because I've ALWAYS had amazing coffee from this product. No other coffee maker manufacture has achieved the speed in brewing, keeping the coffee hot without cooking. Well, my first experience is a leak in the carafe that showed up in the 1st week. It was slight, it didn't actively drip, just a noticeable bubble of coffee, so I didn't send this back. I had waited for this particular style of Mr. Coffee and felt the effort to return was bigger than waiting for another product, effort to return, just didn't seem necessary to me because the coffee continued to be hot. Now the "Brew later" feature does not operate. The light indicating the coffee maker will turn on automatically in the morning, but it doesn't work, the coffee maker is not "remote starting" so to speak. There should be an open policy to return this product when the product fails its expected operation. I purchased this product only 14months ago. This lack of operational excellence I've always received from Mr. Coffee is no longer reliable. I am very disappointed and suppose I'll need to try Braun, or Bunn, or another product, unless you can make it right?

We have used Mr. Coffee models for years, and we have always had good luck with them. We prefer the insulated thermal decanters both because they don't break and because they keep the coffee hot without needed a warmer plate that continues to use electricity even after the coffee is made. Thermal containers can be carried anywhere, including outside, without the coffee inside getting cold. This 10 cup model takes up a bit more space than our previous 8 cup models, but it has some features we really like. The water tank easily comes off to be filled at the tap and goes back on just as easily, or you can just take the top off and fill it while it is still attached. The coffee filter goes into the side of the machine, and it is completely enclosed, so there isn't a lot of steam that comes out while the coffee is brewing. The filter can be used with or without the charcoal filter system, but even though we have good water, we have found the charcoal filter makes the coffee seem smoother. The filter seems to need a little more coffee to make a brew the strength we like than our previous machines did, but it is a good cup of coffee in a short amount of time! There is also a stronger brew setting that actually works, but it takes a bit longer to brew, because the water goes on and off while brewing. The machine also allows the decanter to be removed to pour a cup in the middle of a brew. We like having the push-button lid for the decanter as opposed to the lids that have to be twisted to pour a cup. Some reviewers have mentioned that the lid pours very slowly, and that is true. However, this lid is easily removed with just a 1/4 turn twist, so if you want to pour faster into a large cup or a thermos, you can just pop the lid off very easily. It goes back on just as easily without losing a lot of heat if you want to keep the rest of the coffee warm. The one downside has been the thermal decanter. The opening on our previous decanters was big enough for me to get my hand into it to really wash it. (But my husband couldn't). The opening on this decanter is too small for even my small hands, so we need to use a decanter brush. This decanter also does not seem to keep the coffee hot for as long as our previous containers, but it stays plenty warm for a couple hours. I like that this model has a light that tells us when the machine needs to be cleaned. It also has a feature that tells us how long it has been since the coffee was brewed. This is a nice coffee maker, and we would recommend it.

First things First: So I just received this coffee maker today, to replace an over 10 years old Mr. Coffee maker that the physical buttons began to fail on. The process of set-up, cleaning and brewing was straight forward and easy. But bear with me and follow the steps I've laid out here. My Process and Cleaning Cycle: Upon unpacking, I ran 2 cups of white vinegar through it, on the Clean cycle. Then I ran 2 pots of pure filtered water through it, to remove the vinegar, and then brewed my first pot of strong coffee after completing the cleaning process. The cleaning process takes 45 minutes, so do know that if the "Clean" light illuminates, and you decide to clean and descale it, it won't be a quick process. The instruction manual says it will illuminate after 90 brew cycles, so keep this in mind. Included Carbon Filter Disks: I won't be using the included carbon filter disk, as I have a reverse osmosis system that removes impurities, chlorine, mineral sediments and improves water flavor on its own, so the carbon filter would be redundant and unnecessary for me. However, my old Mr. Coffee maker that this one replaced, also used these carbon filters, and I have used them in the past, so I can attest to their effectiveness. Brewing Process and Coffee Flavor: After the extended cleaning process, and thoroughly rinsing the coffee maker, I brewed my first pot of coffee. I use a store brand 10-12 cup natural (brown) disposable coffee filters, and have for years with no issues in my old Mr. Coffee maker. So dont feel the need to purchase the name brand, as suggested in the owner's manual, it's really not necessary. Just be sure it is the right size (10-12 cup and not 4-8 cup), is fully seated and not tilted in the filter basket. Place your desired amount of coffee grounds into the basket and level. Fill the water reservoir to the desired amount for the amount of coffee you want to make, but be sure not to fill past the "10 Max" line. Then, if you desire, select the "Strong" button and "Brew Now" or "Brew Later" button. Seat the carafe onto the Brew station platform, and be sure it is fully seated. Then, depending on your preferred Flavor, select the "Strong" button and either the "Brew Now" or "Brew Later" button. The brew cycle is quite quick and you'll soon be enjoying a nice hot cup of coffee. There is no audible chime when the pot is done brewing, unlike my old Mr. Coffee maker. That I will miss. Past that, my first Brew tastes amazing. Additional Tips: >>First step should be to read and then reread the short instruction manual. It has valuable operating instructions, which will ensure best performance, longevity, enjoyment and troubleshooting tips. The manual is literally just 16 pages long. Trust me, it took me all of 5 minutes to read, so take the time, it could save you from making unnecessary mistakes that could effect your enjoyment and the longevity of this Mr. Coffee maker. >> Second step, don't skip running the cleaning cycle, or at least running a Brew Cycle with vinegar and rinsing with 2 pots of water before brewing your first pot of coffee. We all know that no matter how meticulous the manufacturing and inspection is, there's always residue and potential for small pieces of plastic from the manufacturing process, this is just a given. After I ran the cleaning process above, I found a single tiny piece of plastic floating in the water in the carafe, so just endure the cleaning. No plastic is good to ingest. >> Do Not over fill the water reservoir. Do be sure to level the ground coffee and ensure the filter is properly seated into the basket. Also, be sure to take your time when replacing the removable water reservoir, filter basket and carafe. If any of these are improperly placed it can, and will, effect the functionality of the coffee maker. Address complaints: Finally, I'll address the complaints with the speed, to which, the brewed coffee dispenses from the carafe. They're simply silly and petty. Does it come out as fast as a glass carafe? No. But it dispenses just fine and does not cause spillage while pouring 205° degree coffee! It does require you to depress a button toward the back of the handle on the carafe. It's not difficult to depress or reach with one hand while dispensing. And, while I've just begun using this maker today, I can not give an opinion about leakage. As I've only run a clean cycle, 2 pots of filtered water and 1 pot of coffee through this maker. Only time will tell. But I suspect, as is the case frequently, it is operator error and failure to read and follow the manufacturer's instructions. I get it, operating a coffee pot seems pretty straight forward, but taking 5-10 minutes to familiarize oneself with a new machine can be the difference between many years of enjoyment or a complete disaster. Of course, there are always cases of manufacturing defects, but considering the several "leaking" complaints posted about this machine, and the overwhelming number of satisfied reviews, I'm willing to give more credence to operator error than defects. So let me reassure you: 1) Time will tell, but I've found that proper care and operation lead to longevity and enjoyment; And 2) This is a fine coffee maker. It is easy to set up and operate. And produces a superb cup of coffee. Buy it and enjoy. ***UPDATE: August 19, 2025*** So I wanted to update my review since I've been using it daily, and have brewed several more pots of coffee since I received this Mr. Coffee Maker, and make one correction. First, I've still had ZERO issues with leakage. I brew 10 cups of coffee about every other day, so it's getting a decent workout, and still not one single issue with leakage. Second, it actually does have a chime when it is done brewing, yea! It's not excessively loud, so apparently i just missed it between running around and doing other things when I cleaned it and brewed my first pot, and I had my TV on, so again, I must have just missed it. I apologize for the incorrect information given, but I promise it was not done in malice. Other than that, still loving this coffee maker and still zero issues with its operation. As stated before, I highly recommend this Mr. Coffee maker, it is truly worth every penny.

I'm super impressed with the thoughtful design of this coffee maker. First and foremost, the coffee tastes great! The carafe keeps the coffee warm for hours and fits neatly in the unit. It's easy enough to add water to the reservoir when it's attached to the coffee maker, but the added feature of being removable for filling straight from the tap is great. The removable filter basket is nicely designed with easy-to-replace water filter discs and month selector so you know when it's time to replace it. You can use standard paper filters (as I prefer to do) or optional reusable filters. The speed of brewing is exceptional. I had previously used Bunn coffee makers for several decades simply for the speed of brewing, but am much happier with this product which is very nearly as fast and doesn't need to use electricity to keep a reservoir of water hot at all times. Even when using the "strong" option (which brews the coffee more slowly) the speed is very good. The "brew later" function is very useful and easy to set. The fact that there is no hotplate or heated reservoir also makes it safer and more energy efficient. Not to mention that it also looks great and not cheaply made like so many others. Even the cord storage in the back of the unit is very thoughtful so the excess can be easily kept out of sight. The only thing I would mention as not ideal is the slow rate of pour from the carafe, but I need to learn more patience anyway! I've only had this product for about six weeks, but it seems like it will last a long time as it appears to be high quality in every way.

I searched for quite a while for a coffee maker with a removable water reservoir that could be thoroughly and easily washed. I also wanted a thermal carafe. This coffee maker has both features. I have my coffee maker under my cabinet, so being able to remove the water reservoir and the basket for the coffee grounds without pulling the whole thing forward is a huge bonus! The settings are easy to navigate. It has a timer that tells you how long the coffee has been made, and it has auto shut off after 2 hours. My coffee has stayed hot for over 2 hours in the thermal carafe. It does not have a heat element under the carafe, so the coffee does not get a burned flavor. The carafe pours well without spilling or leaking. All in all, this coffee pot is an exceptionally great find!! One month update: this is the best coffee maker I’ve ever had, and I’ve had lots of coffee makers! I love everything about it!! The best part is being able to clean each part separately. There’s no mildew or slime build up because you can remove the water reservoir, wash it and let it dry before reusing it. The coffee stays hot for at least 3 hours after it is brewed. I plan to buy another one of these coffee makers when I wear this one out! Update after two years of using this coffee pot every single day: This is still my most favorite coffee pot I’ve owned over the last 30 years! Still works great, easy to clean, no slime buildup, keeps coffee warm for hours without burning the coffee, no issues or complaints!

Lo unico que no me gusta mucho es que el cafe sale muy lento de la jarra. De ahi en más (que es en realidad algo no muy importante para mi) todo esta perfecto. El cafe dura caliente +4 horas y al no tener una resistencia que lo mantenga caliente (si no una jarra termica) ahorras energía y el café no se quema

El café se mantiene caliente por 4 horas sin problema, la jarra no me gusta ya que queda liquido dentro por la forma del recipiente y la tapa; el tema de los filtros que se cambian cada mes es un punto a considerar. Se programa muy fácil y se limpia de igual manera.

Este cafetera me llegó sin una pieza. He visto algunos unboxing en YOUTUBE y tampoco los trae pero sin embargo el manual dice que si. Al final se está llevando uno por la información de la marca y el producto viene incompleto.
