Swim instructor here: this works! After years of searching for the best lip protectant, I finally found this one. It’s SPF 40 - which is absolutely amazing! One of the higher SPF’s on the market. The applicator is a dream - allowing you to apply evenly and get all those creases. Reapplying hourly has helped me maintain not burning my lips. I applaud this item as it has really helped!

Love this! The biggest put off for me and SPF lip products is when the products gets in my mouth! I'm not saying that I'm licking my lips all day, but I'm a gab and eventually, I'm going to taste it. This is the most tolerable SPF lip taste I've ever had. Now, it doesn't taste great, but it's definitely the best I've experienced. The product goes on velvety and is not sticky. The doe foot application is nice and goes on clear and shiny though it feels mattifying on the lips, but not in a dry way. I would say it mimics their Unseen Sunscreen in texture if you're familiar with that. It stays on quite a while through sun, talking, and drinking through straws.

I used the Supergoop lip sunscreen on a super sunny day and it actually worked—no burn, no peeling, just smooth, protected lips. It goes on like a regular balm, feels super lightweight, and doesn’t leave that weird sunscreen taste. I’m so glad I threw this in my bag. A must-have for beach days or just everyday sun protection!

Very moisturizing and long lasting; definitely can tell it’s waterproof because you can still feel almost like a moisture seal after the gloss is gone. It does seem to help protect lips from burning. After a 8 hour hike my lips weren’t burnt except for right above the lip line where my normal SPF doesn’t last well. Only complaint is it has a slight SPF aftertaste. However it’s much easier to put up with than a lot of SPF lip products. Honestly chewing a little gum really took that taste away and normally that doesn’t work to remove a SPF taste for me. So even though there is a little aftertaste I’m still able to wear it and will definitely reach for it on pool days because I think the waterproof aspect will be really beneficial then. It’s worth the price because you don’t have to reapply as much as you would with a normal gloss. I was even able to apply a regular balm/gloss over it for extra hydration and it still seemed to protect my lips. Definitely recommend as long as you aren’t looking for a product that has no SPF taste because it has just a little. I’m someone who despises the SPF taste and normally will forgo wearing SPF lip products because of that so if I can deal with it I think a lot of people could because my tolerance is low for it.

Works well, I have never had burnt lips using this product. And I do enjoy the wand application. It goes on pretty sticky but settles down pretty quickly. The biggest issue is it tastes like sunscreen. Even if you don’t lick your lips it leaves an unpleasant sunscreen/chemical taste in your mouth that doesn’t go away quickly. I doubt I purchase this again since there are so many other spf lip products that don’t leave a bad taste.
