Handy and quality made
I’ve had this driver set for many years now, use it all the time for small to medium jobs. Very well made using quality materials. Definitely would buy again. I could use a new plastic case, dropped it once and broke the lid hinges off.

Neat little ratchet set.
I bought this set to do a specific job on a computer case that has limited access to a few screws without removing the entire motherboard. It Worked great! As noted by others, the ratcheting mechanisms were a bit dry when I first used them but a drop of 3 in 1 oil fixed that easily. When I was visiting my Father recently he bought a new grill. There were a few places on the grill that they expected you to use this crappy little pressed steel wrench to install some fasteners. I had this wrench in my bag and it made that process SO much easier. (I mean, we could have gone out to the garage to get another wrench, but it was snowing so yeah, still calling this a win.) I looked at several different sets and this one had the best blend of bits and sockets I figured I'd actually use. I don't recommend using this for breaking loose stuck fasteners, it warns you right on the box that it is not intended for this and I can see why. This is a precision tool, if you need to bash on something, get something sturdier. The one real downside I can note is the carry case. The clear plastic lid doesn't latch in tightly and the "belt clip" is a bit of a joke. I simply use a large rubber band from some broccoli to keep the case shut in my backpack. I do think they could have spent a bit more effort making the lid sturdier. (The hinges are also cheap and I predict that dropping this one time will break them.) All that said, the actual tool itself makes up for the cheapness of the packaging. I would recommend this to someone who needs a light duty bit ratchet which will fit into tight spaces with ease. I would NOT recommend this to someone who likes to hit ratchets with hammers, you'll just break it.

Quality tool set!
Although one would think based on the cost of this GEARWRENCH set the quality would be compromised. Just the opposite! I literally use this daily and under pretty harsh conditions. It has performed beyond what I initially expected. The key feature that I want to talk about is how compact it is. The "micro" ratcheting is by far another key feature with this tool. It allows you to get into very tight spaces and with the micro ratcheting, complete loosening or tightening whatever it is you're working on. The selection of TORX bits is what I use most and the quality of the bits are trued and tested. I've dropped the carrying case 500x! The only thing I would recommend is using a rubber band around the case to keep it shut. I'm buying another one as a gift for a friend! UPDATE 3/10/2024 I've now purchased 5 of the Gearwrench sets! Since my original post, I use these several times a week. The mechanical aspects are perfect! The only downside to this is the plastic case isn't the quality needed for keeping everything organized. The plastic case will eventually break then that becomes a bit of a problem searching for the correct size. I've contacted Gearwrench with this problem but they haven't done anything to upgrade the case. So be sure to be careful and use a velcro strap to keep the lid in place as that breaks first.

Great set if you get one where the ratchet works
Gearwrench is a division of the Apex Tool Group (US headquartered) and typically makes quality tools that don't break the budget. Unfortunately, like some others here, I also had the experience of a misassembled ratchet (and couldn't insert the bits) the first time I purchased this item. However, because of Amazon's return policy I immediately exchanged it as defective and the next set was perfect. This set is made in Taiwan for Apex. It has a lifetime warranty. The tool itself is considered to be used for precision work and the warranty will be voided if abused against frozen bolts/screws. The ratchet seems to be robust so far. The larger end (5/16" bit / 1/4" driver) has 72 teeth and the smaller end (1/4" bit) has 60 teeth. Both of these are plenty of teeth to be able to ratchet in tight quarters. The bits/adapter stay in place with a press fit that is pretty good. The 6-point sockets are attached via a 1/4" adapter which allows the sockets to be flush with the ratchet - again allowing for tight spaces. The sockets are: 5 SAE (9/16 to 5/16 in 1/16" increments) and 5 metric (14, 13, 12, 10, 8mm). The bits are: 6 torx (T50, T45, T40, T30, T25, T20), 7 hex (6/16 to 2/16 in 1/16 increments and 5/32 and 3/32), 3 Phillips (PH3, PH2, PH1), 5 slotted (3/8, 5/8, 9/32, 7/32, 5/32) and 2 Robertson (square) (S-3, S-2). The larger bits are for the 5/8" end of the ratchet. Sizes are clearly stamped on both the sockets and the bits. The bits I've used so far fit the heads quite well. I also have no complaint about the quality of the sockets. The 1/4" bits will fit standard 1/4" driver holes as they are smooth and don't have a ball detent. The 5/16" adapter for the sockets has a ball detent on the end that inserts into the socket (it's smooth on the side that inserts into the ratchet). Nothing in this set is magnetic though the bit steel will be magnetized in the presence of a magnet. The base of the case (the red part in the pictures) is pretty robust. There are convenient numbers on the bottoms of the socket wells telling you what socket should be in each well. The tools are not a press fit into the case; they are loose. This makes insertion and extraction of the tools easy. It also means the cover better work. And the cover doesn't have a particularly strong latch. I would not trust turning the case over for I would expect the heavy contents to open the latch under gravity and spill out. I put a hairband around my set to make sure it's secure. There is also a plastic clip piece that can be inserted into the back of the base (either in portrait or landscape orientation) allowing for belt hanging. I would not trust the clip, however, since (a) it's just thin plastic and looks like it will break under load and (b) the cover might not stay latched as I mentioned. It's really a pretty decent microdriver set, especially if you can catch it on sale.

Bought this twice once for my kit and one for a son of mine. Quality looks good, fitment of various sizes is firm and a good selection of common sizes. Great little kit its in, will be handy to have near by. Bought it on sale, so price seemed about right as well.
