Can it be used as a waterproof dry bag?

Hello. The Tuna bag has a special waterproof coating keeping dry what is inside. Therefore it resists rain and drops of water, but it is not designed to be immersed in water.

Is it suitable for air travel as checked in luggage?

I don’t know why not. But I am not a frequent flyer.

I understand it doesn’t have backpack straps but can it anyway be carried on the back, at least for short distances?

You could probably put the shoulder straps on like a backpack for a short time
