Well Designed & Built Boom Mic, Another Great Value From Warm Audio
As a former radio on-air DJ, I have an appreciation for a well-built microphone boom arm. A humble piece of studio equipment that is nonetheless essential for a lot of reasons. I work in my home studio now as a YouTuber and music producer, and I found this Warm Audio boom to be an excellent value. It's sturdy - it stays where I put it, it doesn't slip out of place, it stays mounted to my desk with only an occasional tightness check. The arm has a trough for the mic cable to tuck into, as well as clips to hold the cable in place. A lot of thought went into this design and I'm so impressed how well it's held up and become an integral part of my day to day productions. I love being able to swing the boom arm out of the way when it's not in use, or to swivel it front of me for voice over applications. Being able to angle the mic itself has given me a position to quickly stand in front of my dynamic mic with an acoustic guitar capitalizing on the mic's ability to isolate a source from the room background for a high quality recording. In summary, you can't beat this boom arm for quality and value.

Crashed
Well - on the upside, aesthetically, this mic boom arm looks great and it's reach is wonderful and held my heavy $1000 Warm Audio Microphone in place with no problem. On the downside, a few days after installing (and bragging about) it ---- when I was in another room, I heard a loud "BanG" and crash, like something had fallen...I rushed to the sound....and, sure enough, the boom arm (with my expensive mic attached) was in pieces on the floor. Luckily, the microphone still works with minor dings to the wind screen, though my custom desk got dinged up and dented, but it looks like a tension cable (like aircraft cable) detached at one end - where it looks like it was welded/soldered to a boom arm end piece. Also, in the crash, a couple of the glued joint covers popped off. I SO wanted to use this Boom Arm - looked great while it lasted - but I'm lucky it didn't do more damage. I put the pieces back together as best I could and have shipped it back to Amazon. Luckily, I had not tossed the box yet, so another bit of good news on a bad experience.

Better than my old one, but some issues.
I haven't had a chance to actually work with it much, but it is replacing an older spring boom that one was noisy and you needed to be super careful about moving it. This unit seems better although not quite as easy to move around. I am not impressed with the clamp shoe as it supports the main boom with a plastic cylinder doing all the work, when the boom is extended there is visible torsion on the clamp.. I do not expect this piece to last. Initially this was going to take it down to three star.. HOWEVER... In the box was something not expected or listed on the Amazon description, a through hole mount, such as could pass through the cable holes in some desks (about 1.5 inch diameter). This piece is metal and looks solid. I have a free hole in my desk, but its not really where I'd prefer the mic to be. Just the same, if I have trouble I will set up with this mount. So I'm adding a star back for that. Maybe this is a newer version, dunno.

Great Boom!
This boom is exactly what I needed. Great range, easy to set up, and solid build. Easily adjustable, as well. My setup is a small home studio for audio production and some light video. This boom looks right at home, and will help keep mic stands to a minimum. More about the build: I love the cable management system here. Keeps everything neat and tidy. The desk mounting methods are quick and easy. I was up and running in minutes. Great fit and finish to the parts. Very sturdy, professional build. Hardware is solid. To sum up - this will make recording quicker and easier. It should let me focus more on the content and less on the setup. Very nice product. Up next...a mic...

It is not worth this much money. I think it will be going back.
I was excited to order this new boom and it arrived today. My new RODE NT1 is too heavy for my old, cheapo boom and I needed something with good reach that would hold a heavier mic. This had the longer reach and should support the weight. Getting this set up wasn't too difficult given the "manual" has no information about anything to do with setting this up other than using the C clamp and telling you to adjust it to fit your needs and tighten it down. There is no way to secure the arm into the C clamp so when you try to push the arm up out of the way, the arm comes out of the clamp. This boom comes with another mounting option that is more permanent and there is nothing in the manual about this. But the part is there. It would be nice to have something for mounting instruction; clearance, hole size, etc. Mounting the mic onto the arm is not as easy it it should be. There is an adapter so you can use 3/8” or 5/8” threading. Using the 3/8" thread doesn't allow for locking the orientation of the mic in the desired orientation. There is a lock nut for the 5/8" but that doesn't really hold and it virtually useless. The 5/8" adapter is too easily unscrewed and to tighten it back on requires the mic mount to be removed first. Then the adapter can be tightened and you have to reinstall the mic mount. If you can get the mic into the desired location, keeping it there and keeping stable is a trick. There is quite a bit of wiggle and the ability to lock it into your location involves three knobs to tighten and that doesn't count anything on the isolation holder with my mic. I miss the ease of my cheapo boom where I can quickly move it to a location and it just stays there. I don't have to keep loosening and tightening the joints.

Stiff, hard to move, not secured to base, side panels fell right off
There are little metal plates with the "W" logo that cover the joints. They fell off the minute I pulled it out of the box. Also some washers fell out from there that I'm not sure how to reconnect. The arm just sits in the base and is not secured in any way. Adjustments are very hard to make. The joints are stiff, but somehow still sagging unless you really tighten them even stiffer. It works, I guess. But it doesn't work well and the materials are pretty cheap.

Solid as a rock, smooth as buttah!
Been using this now for a week—wanted my stream looking fresh and neat for Metroid Dread. It’s everything I could have hoped for! The joint adjustments are simple, the pivots are smooth, and the arm itself is very sturdy and stable. I’m using a basic Samson Meteor mic at the moment and it’s extremely secure. The included wire-moulding tubes are sweet—they hide the microphone wire to give that extra professional look. I’d highly recommend this Warm mic arm for anyone looking to add a highly functional, modifiable, durable, and aesthetically impressive mic arm to their setup!

GREAT
Just what I needed for my microphone setup for live stream. Easy to install and feels very sturdy, heavy duty, and expensive. It’s silent and smooth when it swivels and doesn’t drift at all. I use a plastic folding table so I was concerned about being able to mount it correctly, but I found a flat surface underneath and it mounted great with no wobbling. The 3 adjustment points make it easy to adjust the height and angle of the mic. Just make a slight turn to loosen the clamps, re-adjust, then tighten the clamps. Oh and make you’re adjusting the middle section the right way. I was pulling it down the wrong way and it felt like it was getting stuck until I realized I was going the wrong way with it haha. Overall awesome piece of gear and great price!! Highly recommend 👍🏼

Scam - don't buy unless you're looking for a broken microphone stand
The plates on the side of the arms came already detached as the glue connecting them had crusted away, and the nobs to adjust the arms position are stuck in place and won't move. The stand itself doesn't even fit in the desk clamp, so it shakes around. Don't buy this product.

Slechte kwaliteit!
