Artistically Functional

This is my daily drinker so functionally trumps beauty but I think this sets a great balance. There is something about the shape of this kyusu that I love and the patterning along with the small red around opening is decorative enough with being flashy. The filter is fine enough that you will not need a secondary strainer. Due to the wide opening on top, the leaves can easily spread out and is extremely easy to rinse out. Also since It is easy to pour with a single hand and spout is large enough for quick pours so you can steep multiple times in quick succession. I only mention this because I had a teapot once that seemed to take a minute to pour out so it would be oversteep by the time you finished pouring. For sizing approximation when I brew with 5 grams of tea this pot will make around 250ml/8.4oz. (loss due to leaves displacement) Regardless its a good size for me since I'm used to standard cans of soda so making 100ml cups of tea just would not cut it....I might be biased since I'm buying a second so I can have one at work but I hope this helps.
