Great NUWAVE Gold Portable Induction Cooktop!
This NUWAVE Gold PIC works great! We recently purchased a new Frigidaire Gallery Induction Range from Lowe's (which also works great!). Unfortunately, due to the current supply chain delays, we had to unexpectedly wait several weeks for the new range to be delivered by Lowe's (beyond the original estimated delivery date). In the meantime, we had donated our current 5 year old Whirlpool Gas Range (which still worked well) to Habitat For Humanity, so we had no stove to cook with. Needing something to cook with temporarily, we purchased a NUWAVE Gold PIC. This appliance is amazing. The NUWAVE cooktop heats quickly, and the temperature is very accurate and easy to control. This NUWAVE cooktop also works great with the new Circulon Premier Professional Cookware set that we purchased specifically for the new Frigidaire Induction Range. The NUWAVE cooktop will quickly and evenly heat any "magnetic" Induction capable cookware, from 3 inches up to 12 inches in diameter. The timer feature on the NUWAVE cooktop is very handy, and the cooktop cleans up easily. The 3 wattage settings also make the NUWAVE cooktop very portable for outdoor use, camping or RVing. The NUWAVE cooktop is quiet (just a slight cooling fan noise) and light, so it is easy to relocate and store. The included 10.5 inch skillet works well (for now anyway), but it is pretty much an abuse and throw-away pan compared to the Circulon cookware that we use regularly. When we initially purchase the NUWAVE cooktop it was just meant to be a temporary way to cook, until the new Frigidaire Induction Range arrived. However, the NUWAVE cooktop works so well that it has become an "extra" stove burner for parties and holidays. We also use the NUWAVE cooktop if we want to cook something quickly (single pot meal), without using the big high-wattage range, and as a portable outdoor burner to compliment the BBQ. Normally, We are a bit apprehensive about purchasing gimmicky "As Seen On TV" or "Infomercial" products. However, after extensive research, and reading the many positive reviews, we decided to give the NUWAVE cooktop a try. We can honestly say that we are very impressed with the NUWAVE cooktop, and we highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a portable cooktop and/or trying an Induction cooktop for the first time. You definitely will not be disappointed with the NUWAVE Gold PIC.

Nuwave Gold Precision Induction Portable Cooktop and 10.5โ Pan
Excellent product, I highly recommend. Purchased to take glamping and using a Honda EU2200 generator inverter. Heats super fast on 500 watt setting and temperature adjustment is fast, accurate and it cooks well. 10.5โ frying pan works well, compliments the portable induction cooktop. Cleans up east too. Donโt know about longevity yet, will update if either doesnโt perform well or last in the long run.

Easy to use, no more smoke! ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฌ
A friend I care for had a stroke a few years ago that affected her short term memory. Recently she moved to an apartment with a gas stove after having used an electric one her whole life. 1 smoke alarm scare later and I finally decided to try and find an alternative as she could never get a handle on regulating the temp on the gas stove. Fast forward to a month later, after much research, and I settled on this induction cooktop. My mother had already been singing the praises of induction, herself having switched from a very nice natural gas stove. And she was absolutely right, as usual. #1 And very important, unlike some other models this one has general low, medium, high, ect. buttons. This was a key dividing factor for this particular unit as I needed it to be as simple as possible. Thankfully they are easy to read and easy to press. #2 The ability to have you pan perfectly evenly heated and STAY at the temp you set it cannot be overestimated! Medium is truely medium, not like electric where it cycles on and off, and not like gas where you have hot, hotter, and inferno. The beautifully even sear you get on foods is mouth watering and your pancakes will always be perfect. #3 SAFETY! This shuts off after a certain amount of time, and because of the perfect heating you can get distracted and come back and not have burned your food. This helps her and I as sheโs forgetful when she cooks, and I sometimes have to attend to something for her when Iโm cooking. I can set it on medium and itโs a true medium, no over heating, so not oil popping, and lovely golden browning every single time. I cannot emphasize the even heating enough. With just a tad to much heat you go from golden to burnt very fast. With this unit you set it and forget it. No fiddling with the temp while cooking and you have a much longer window to flip before it ever starts to even think of burning (on the right temp of course). Also if you have an Amazon card you can stretch out the payments 6 months, no interest. Very helpful on a fixed income. ~$26 a month and no more trying to burn down your kitchen.

Great quality
This is an amazing single glass hot plate! So many features and heating temp options. Yes, itโs annoying if lift pan off to flip or shimmy food around it automatically thinks โyouโre done cooking.โ But in the end I guess thatโs a good feature. Cools off pretty quickly when itโs off. Easy clean up. Meals are done so much quicker!!!!

Pleasantly surprised
I've had this for a few months now and used it a few times. So far, so good. What prompted me to write this review was something I noticed yesterday. We were cooking chili and I decided to use this induction cooktop in combination with our dutch oven. It's a slow cooking meal, 8 hours, so a good test of the device I thought. Half way through I was busily adjusting the temperature up and down to find the sweet spot for cooking the chili. That's when I noticed something. I set the cooktop to 210F, and came back in 30 minutes. The chili was lightly steaming, but not boiling. I then set it to 220F. 30 minutes later, I come back and see it's boiling. What's weird about that? Well the boiling point of water is ~215F. So apparently this device is dead accurate! I was really shocked. That's not something you're going to easily do with a gas stove. Super impressed with that. I read reviews of other induction cooktops, and a lot of them have trouble keeping accurate temperature. This one doesn't seem to have any problem, at least when used with a dutch oven. It was also great for heating up the dutch oven initially. For the chili recipe we brown the beef in the pot over medium-high heat before adding the rest of the ingredients and turning the temperature down for the 8hr slow cook. Well with our gas stove, we'd have to turn the flame up to medium-high and wait ... and wait ... and wait. Dutch ovens are heavy cast iron and sink a _lot_ of heat. You can get them up to temperature on a gas stove faster by turning the heat to high and then turning it back down again as soon as it reaches temperature, but obviously most of us aren't going to be able to control the gas heating that accurately. Doing that you'll usually just overshoot, and because cast iron holds heat forever, it'll be stuck too hot and just burn the meat. So us mere cooking mortals are stuck with setting the flame to medium high and just suffering the wait. But this thing heated that dutch oven like a champ! Took only a minute or two for it to bring the whole pot up to temperature! Totally crazy. And of course it's temperature controlled, so once the pot was heated up, it just maintained the perfect temperature from then on. Besides that, it isn't too noisy. Other induction cooktops I tried had a painfully loud high pitched squeal regardless of cookware. This one I don't even notice anything too high pitched. It does have a fan that runs to keep itself cool, and that's certainly "noisy", at least relative to the complete silence of gas, but it's not a big deal. Just one negative thing. It came bundled with one of NuWave's frying pans. The frying pan is awful. Just recycle or donate that thing. I seriously don't know why they include it, because I can see a customer trying this cooktop out with the included pan, burning the s*** out of their food, and blaming the cooktop because of it.

So convenient and love that I can use other cookware with it
I purchased this on a whim and have no regrets so far. It's easy enough to program and figure out once I read the instructions. I am keeping it on the 1500 watt setting as that allows for a fairly rapid cook time and good sear results. The diamondware pan is amazing to use and cooks evenly, but I was incredibly happy that I could also use my Dutch oven!

Works very well. As advertised.
Works very well. Heats quickly and evenly across induction capable pots and pans. I like the ability to control temperature on the go. Only heats the pan so keeps kitchen cooler.

Heats up fast!
Product was securely packaged and of very good quality. I love how fast it heats up and it isn't very loud which was a nice plus. I did purchase the pan set and although I wish the pan itself was a tad bit deeper, it will work perfectly fine. The manual is easy to follow, and- it was not needed but very cool that it came with a cookbook. Very happy with this purchase. Would recommend.

Best one out there
I ordered one 2 years ago and really liked it. Used it instead of my stovetop gas burners for most things, as it was safer with no flame, boiled water quickly, and had much more precise and reliable temperature controls for simmering, as well as a logical and intuitive control layout that included a timer. A year later, I wanted to buy a second one, but they didnt seem to be available except for a model bundled with an intermediate-quality nonstick pan, which I didnt really need. So I got a Duxtop instead, based on consumer ratings from various websites. The Duxtop was much more cumbersome to use, had less precise temperature settings, a quirky, non-intuitive set of controls, and, worst of all, a timer that automatically reset the temperature back to baseline every time you used it. What? It was ok for boiling things, adequate for imprecise simmers, and pretty useless if you wanted to time anything. It was like a poor amateur imitation of the NuWave, adequate for simple tasks, but not really something you could cook with. After a while, we really got tired of it, bit the bullet, and bought another NuWave, with the included frying pan. The NuWave was great, just like our first one, and it was a real treat to have intuitive controls that really worked and seemed to make cooking effortless. Even the non-stick pan wasn't too bad, despite some of the negative reviews, and we're using it more and more. So far, it seems as good as our more expensive Scanpan CTX's, and is easier to clean. Time will tell, though. Overall, I am very satisfied with the NuWave, and wish I had gotten it right away instead of the Duxtop. The only advantage of having the Duxtop was to make me appreciate the NuWave that much more. With 2, we can move them to various locations if necessary, so 2 people can be cooking and not get in each other's way. We almost never use the gas stove burners now, and the kitchen is a safer, more efficient, more verasatile, and less messy place!

Looks unique and operates as advertised. So easy to select a heat level, just press a button.
This unit looks realy nice and functions as advertised. I use it in my kitchen to heat my 10" cast iron skillet. No complaints' there. The power cord is a little thinner than I expected. It's connection point to the unit is also not perfessional although suffice for it's operation. The cord can handle the power without getting hot.

Pay a little more and get quality
I absolutely love this induction burner. I've tried other ones and ended up sending them back I paid a little more for this version [Gold] but there is such a big difference in performance, I can't say enough good things about it
