These locks will instantly surprise you how heavy and sturdy they are. They aren’t like the cheap TSA masterlocks you can find at the hardware store; These are legitimately secure. The shackle is the perfect size and thickness to fit through a heavy duty rifle/pistol hard case while allowing no play. They are super easy to set, only taking a few seconds. I also love the no-waste frustration free packaging. Great purchase at a great value.

For small locks they are very substantial, well made, secure. Will buy more.

It worked really well, and setting the code was simple. Felt like a boss walking through the airport with my firearm secured in its box with theses.. but I'm sure that was more because of what was in the box than these locks. Just glad I got to take it with me.

OVERALL:-Use it for travel, that's about it.-Personally, I saw it recommended in several articles, and I bought if for a "heavy duty" case lock with a combo option.-Better than cable lock. Of course, has the downsides of a combo/TSA lock. Yes, the 006 TSA is more uncommon, and difficult to pick, but a master key is a master key...SECURITY:-Solid shackle is nice to have. Don't expect to cut through it with small wire cutters-Latch: ??? I haven't tested a hard physical strike to see if the latch holds. Again, for it's use, should be fine.Dimple is small, so I would expect it to not hold up to a hard blow.-Combo: here is where I had issues. My fault, but I was expecting a combo lock that would be a little more difficult to bypass. Yes, the key is a chunk of metal, but it has a common bypass method like other combo locks: by putting tension on the shackle (pulling the shackle and body apart), the dials can be turned one at a time to the correct spot. There is slight audio click if pulling hard, otherwise an ease in turning resistance.For fun, I set the combo randomly (eyes closed) several times and timed how long until I could open it (also eyes closed lol).Averaged around 35 secCONCLUSION: Overall, decent TSA lock compared to other TSA options. Solid construction, but has common combo-lock faults. Again, I did get a lock with my desired features and will continue to use it.
