Product Description Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Paint transforms all types and ages of deck, filling in small cracks and covering grey wood. Directions 1. Prepare the surface by cleaning and sanding the deck. 2. Stir the paint thoroughly before use. 3. Apply the paint evenly across the deck surface using a roller or brush. 4. Allow the first coat to dry before applying a second coat if necessary. Review: Great for decking and garden furniture - Great outdoor protection. Ronseal do a garden paint and decking paint in the same colours. I’ve used both for different projects. The garden paint didn’t last long on my garden furniture, but the decking paint is much more durable and worth the extra money. Review: Lovely, but not quiet the colour i expected - First the cons: 1 tin says it covers 26 m² (13 m² per litre), my decking is 20 m² and I have used almost 2 tins. It also says it comes with a stirring stick, which I did not receive and the colour that is on the label ‘warm stone’, is not the colour it dries at, more of a light grey with a hint of salmon. It is very light so I am concerned it will get really dirty in winter. Now the pros. I cleaned and jet washed the decking first, then I applied the paint thinly as others have advised (with a £3.50 soft broom that I bought at B&Ms) it was so easy to apply and went on beautifully, I didn’t really need two coats, but applied a second one lightly with a roller anyway. Considering my decking looked absolutely terrible before, it looks absolutely amazing even after one coat. The colour is not too bad, it will grow on me, but I would have preferred warm stone/light Beige as per the picture on the tin.
