Solid choice for gear!
These were great for my needs. Took them through the Scottish Highlands for the Cateran Yomp. They folded up up tightly and compact and was able to easily carry until needed. Sturdy for sure as I climbed up the mountains giving me stability. It came with various tip options too so that was great. Definitely recommend!

Great product for the price
I bought these on a whim a few days before going on a Switerland trip. I did watch a few videos of how to use hiking sticks and even practiced on a few walks before traveling. I was constrained on the size of sticks in luggage, and these were the ones that I could easily pack. They were a lifesaver on my trip. (I tore my left meniscus two years ago and it can't be surgically repaired. So I am trying to cope in the meantime.) These were great for good posture and taking the weight of my knees. I left the snow baskets at home but could have used them because there was 4" of snow in many mountain places in Switzerland! Definitely a good product for the price. I would not have been able to walk and hike as long as I did without these hiking sticks.

Good trekking poles for individuals over 5 ft 4 iches tall
Good trekking poles for people at least 5 ft 4 inches. The trekking poles are easily assembled if you follow instructions. They look and feel sturdy. Unfortunately I am vertically challenged and can only hold onto the extended handle to have the elbow at a comfortable position i.e. around 90 degree. I am unable to use the hand strap because my hand cannot reach it. This defeats the purpose of having a cork handle that prevents palm sweating, blisters etc and supposedly will shape to your hand eventually. That defeats the safety and comfortable feature of the hand strap. The poles come folded up in a nice bag that can easily fit into a backpack and are not too heavy. I will gift this to a friend.

Very compact and easy to carry in a suitcase, even a carry on roller bag.
Wanted a small enough hiking pole to fit into a suitcase for a trip to New Zealand. I had another pair that screws together but they were still pretty long for the suitcase. These poles collapse to only 16", are light, strong, easily assembled. Using them in New Zealand now and very very happy with them.

Will not stay connected!
These poles were defective and dangerous. We climbed upwards to a volcano in Costa Rica. One pole actually broke and the other kept coming appart as we climbed. We’re still in Costa Rica but our return date has closed. Be careful. Buy the. Better pair!

Don't Buy the Expensive Brand, Buy These!!
These hiking poles were amazing. They were super easy to assemble and gave me the support I needed during my hiking trip to Death Valley National Park. I love that they’re foldable which made them really easy to pack and carry around. I can’t wait to use them again on my next adventure. They made a big difference on the trail.

Decent not the best
I would say they will hold your weight, they fold up very well, there easy to use, but they just aren’t that durable, 1 of mine broke a mile into the hike and ever other one also broke later on.

Great value for the money...
Had previously purchased CMT's 3K Carbon Fiber Trekking Poles after reading a glowing review on the GearLab website and as I'm about to travel overseas thought I would need a pair more suitable for such as these can be folded down to a smaller length and if they happen to get bent I can hopefully straighten them. Wish me well...

Very low quality!
I received this item on the 20th of August and went hiking with it. The poles broke 3 days into a trek during normal use. It wasn't the aluminum itself, but one of the joints that attaches the poles to one another. Extremely disappointing!
