Could be useful.
This book has some helpful tips to recognise and overcome negative thinking patterns. If you haven’t read any books regarding negative thinking, I would recommend this one as your first. I had read a few before this and there’s lots of similarities. But the author is trying to put across a great message and I’ve definitely taken a few things from it! Through no fault of the author, the book arrived with some marks I had to clean off the cover.. and there were one or two typos, so four stars from me.

Well written and certainly helpful
I am actually a positive person but with covid hitting whilst I was on maternity then trying to go back into a pressured sales role in a tough market...my confidence has been shot and I have really struggled. Reading this has re-engaged my brain, helped me switch my thought process back on track and I already feel better. It has some real sensible, practical suggestions. Written in plain speak, it feels like a nice easy conversation. This will be great to dip back into when I need another boost.

Easy to read but basic
I found this quick to read as the style is straightforward and easy to follow . It’s a very short book, so don’t expect a thorough self help experience. I found some of the content irritating as it does literally state the obvious and pretty much just tells you not to think negatively. I think the most helpful bits are the end of chapter summaries, so this would possibly work as a quick reference/reminder book. The final words section felt like it was a bit rushed and contained info that could have been really interesting if fleshed out more. I’ve read better, I’ve read worse, so I would put this as average.

Quality
It gives you a lot of thoughts to help you deal with repeated negative thoughts and develop better habits. It can help you notice harmful thought patterns and give you tips on how to develop better patterns. If you have been dealing with it for a long time, you cannot solve these problems quickly, but similar books can help you digest and work over time. This is a good clear example that can be easily read when you need a reminder.

An amazing self help book! Definitely worth reading!
Wow! What an amazing book, it got delivered yesterday afternoon and I couldn't stop reading, I ended up finishing the book at 1am! This book had me really thinking about my life and I could relate to so much! Page 38 really hit home for me as it speaks about past traumas and how they really can hold you back. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who may be struggling or know someone that is. Absolutely brilliant!
