Very pleased I read about this book in a magazine, having not heard about the author before. What a discovery, lovely recipes that work, using new (to me) ingredients, I can't stop baking! Highly recommended for something different and wholesome.

Beautiful book and I love the ethos behind it but…. Personally I was looking for a book that would give me recipes for my existing sourdough starter. I was very excited about making some sweet things.This is about making technically a new starter for each fermented cake.A good book I’m sure but not what I was expecting or wanted.

I love this book! The cakes are timeless classics, the techniques new, the flavours interesting, the writing compelling. I live in Portugal, where trendy ingredients are not always easy to source, but that is not an issue. All in all, great purchase.

Self-rising flour is also a common ingredient in these recipes. Self-rising flour can easily be found online if not in your grocery store, or you can make it yourself (easy to find recipes online). This innovative book is for bakers looking for new and exciting ideas that won’t disappoint.
