Product came exactly as described. Unfortunately I can’t use it yet until I do a BIOs update on an AMD PC I’m cobbling together. This cable has been really great. I joined a gym where I do the exercise classes remotely and this cable lets me see the class on my big screen tv instead of my laptop. A definite game changer. I have a 2013 MacBook Pro and I purchase the compatible cable. It was as simple as plugging one end into the laptop and the other into my tvs HDMI port. It immediately mirrored the screen and audio. It’s great to have if you have an older tv without Bluetooth and want to mirror your laptop or tablet.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this cable. I expected it to be the bare minimum of useable at this price point, but I was wrong. It is much more flexible than other comparable cables, and it works perfectly. Whatever plastic they use for the insulation on this cable is very nice, and it is much more pleasant to handle than other cheap cables. IMPORTANT: The bezel around the mini DisplayPort connector is extremely thick, so I can't use it with my Surface Book, which is what I bought it for. When I plug it in, the laptop doesn't sit level on any kind of flat table, so beware. I can't imagine that it would work with other very thin laptops either, so look elsewhere if you have an ultrabook. While I waited for a replacement (I sprang for the Microsoft branded HDMI adapter; it's expensive but I wanted something I knew would work with the Surface), I cut the plastic from around the connector and wrapped it in electrical tape, which let it fit. But, the shielding for the connector is midway through the plastic, and removing that led to problems like having red pixels in the video output at random times, so try wrapping the connector in aluminum foil under the electrical tape if you find yourself it the same very specific circumstance I was in. That sometimes helps. Basically, don't buy this cable if you need to plug it into a thin laptop. If you've got a good old fashioned laptop with a bunch of clearance around the ports, this is an excellent cable, and the price is about as good as you can get. It's easily a 5 star product if you've got a thick computer.

Used this to connect a new NVidia card with an older monitor, that has only DVI and HDMI connections. No problems whatever -- the monitor was recognized by the card and is working fine. The sound -- via the monitor's built-in speakers -- works too (FreeBSD, Xorg).

Ce n'est que récemment que j'ai découvert l’existence de ce type de câble. Je m’apprêtai à acheter un adaptateur Mini Display Port vers HDMI plus un câble HDMI. Utilisé pour connecter un deuxième écran 24 pouces à mon Imac 27 pouces fin 2013. Ça fonctionne très bien. Qualité d'image nettement supérieure à la connexion VGA précédemment utilisée. J'en suis très satisfait et je le conseille à tous les utilisateurs de Imac équipé d'un MiniDisplay port ou d'un port Thunderbolt, désireux de brancher un deuxième écran.
