Maltodextrin?? it's as bad as table sugar on the glycemic index (high). spikes blood sugar. bad on you amazon!!

For the person who replied to this regarding their doctor telling them to use Stevia ...the original post about this item containing maltodextrin wasn't in reference to using Stevia itself, but that the manufacturer has ADDED maltodextrin to the Stevia (as an artificial sweetener (a filler) so they won't have to use as much Stevia. Look at the ingredients on the package). Maltodextrin is well-known to spike blood sugar levels, as the glycemic index in maltodextrin is higher than table sugar and can cause a sudden increase in blood glucose for those with insulin resistance or diabetes and can be fatal. This can easily be verified by Googling "maltodextrin blood sugar" and finding the information on medical websites. Diabetics should know this.

How can this 9.7 ounce bag have "equivalent sweetness to 4.85 lbs of sugar" (front) and also claim that 1 tsp of this equals 1 tsp sugar?

I find that the 1 tsp claim is a tiny bit off but this bag is SUPER lightweight!
