Good Value, Good Quality, Good Purchase
Purchased to be used in vintage audio repair and test anything with a single path. You will be amazed at how many other uses you can find for this device after owning it for awhile. I mounted this device. on my repair bench next to my telescope and power supply for nearly 3 years. It works just as well today as it did the first day I got it. As a signal generator, this is a great investment.

Great features at price point
Works great and reasonable price.

Nice machine. Easy to use.
I am using this to generate signals at specific frequencies with any of several waveshapes. I also use it to measure frequency of externally generated frequencies. It is quick and easy to use. Dual channel certainly helps. HOWEVER - when I measure the output of my precision 10 MHz frequency standard, I find an error in that the Seesi counter indicates a frequency about 12 cycles high. My standard is precise to e1x10-12 so I know the error is in the Seesi. That is not much error and is probably adequate for most uses. The claimed precision is 0.1%. so this is well within the stated precision.

Works but not a HEAVY DURY LAB GRADE unit.
I got a 2nd unit after the 1st unit had some issues (burning in) after being powered on for 6hrs each day. They both have overshoot when Frequency gets up on the leading/trailing edge square waves. Does not show up on other waveforms. 1st unit lost the Pulse Width feature (only works in a couple waveforms not all of them.) Price point is good as it's a "light-weight" unit with featured that are nice to have, would not consider it to be a LAB-GRADE unit but ok for hobbies.

Comes with a cheap power supply and does not protect itself from the noise leftover
Update: Seller reached out to me the day this review went live and offered to replace the power supply that was bad. Changed the review to four stars as the function generator is good and the product support was great. Overall not a bad function generator for the price. It has worked well for everything I have needed to do with it to this point. The signal does pull down a significant amount with a load but I figure that is to be expected in this price range. Now on to the dinky power supply they provide with it... I kept seeing weird anomalies in the readings on my scope. I suspected the power supply included with the function generator to be the issue so I switched the generator to use my adjustable power supply set to 5v and suddenly the anomalies were gone. Connecting the output of the power supply directly to my scope set to AC coupling produced the picture attached to this review. It is possible that I just got a bad one but it seems unlikely.

Power-on reliability - SOLVED
I was having the same trouble others reported, having to press the power button multiple times before the unit would stay on. โ I stumbled onto the solution: Click and release the power button QUICKLY, without holding it down. Works 100% now. (And to power OFF, you DO have to hold the button down a little longer.)

A great general purpose function generator
Emphasis is on general purpose - unless you have specific needs it is fine for hobby use. Besides a slight learning curve, operation is intuitive and button placement is logically arranged. Frequency agrees with several different ways I use to measure frequency. Output levels are very slightly low, but well within tolerance. I've put the sweep function to heavy use and find nothing lacking. Quibbles are minor. I wish measured frequency was either a little larger or in bold while making measurements (no big deal as I have other means for measuring frequency - but still gets put to use now and then). The only other minor detraction is the light weight of the function generator coupled with hard plastic feet. It wants to slide around on a hard surface. I simply put a couple of small adhesive felt pads on the bottom behind the rear feet to help reduce sliding. Even though it is so light, the case is reasonably sturdy feeling with no creaking. The front tilt bail works well. The display is bright and easily readable on the bench.

An important feature is missing - Start sweep signal
I've had mine for four years and I only use it occasionally because it is too noisy. Today I was trying to sweep a range of frequencies to test a low pass filter. The sweep function works fine but there is no output that I can find to signal the start of the sweep so I can synchronize a oscilloscope to the changing frequency. Without a start sweep signal there is noway I can see the output of the low pass filter drop with higher frequencies. Because it doesn't have a start sweep signal and because of the noise I have to give it the lowest possible score. I'm going to place this signal generator on my bench as a reminder that I need a better signal generator and a place holder for the new one that is comming! Then this one is going in the trash!
