Great product and great support

I bought 4 Amcrest IP PoE cameras for my house and they were very easy to install and setup. I have them wire connected to a TP Link switch with 8 gigabit PoE ports and have also downloaded the Amcrest View Pro App and everything works great. I can see different angles of my home from anywhere in the world either connected to a wifi network or 4g_5g networks during daylight or at night. When it comes to support I had an issue with remote access related to IP configuration on my side and I contacted them by email. They were very professional answering my questions and helped me resolve it on a timely manner. When you buy tech devices, support becomes VERY important and in my case I could witness it with a good feeling. So I'm a happy customer and I definitely recommend Amcrest.

Outdoor cameras

Works great. I placed a SD card in them as a backup. Still not recording on the survaillance pro? I will look more into this. I may need to contact Amcrest on the recording issue. but the cameras work great as for picture quality is great.

Easy setup great image

I love the fact you do not need internet, or a cell phone to set this up. Just a DHCP server and a web browser. Find the IP, point to browser and you are set up.Image quality GREAT!!

Excellent IP/POE Camera

I like the extra wide angle. The image quality is fantastic! It's not 4k but still very good. The resolution is slightly better than '2k'. Integration with the Android Amcrest app is very easy. You can easily view your camera anywhere in the world without the complexities of configuring port forward on your router.

Product description is incorrect.

The camera is fantastic but I can not give it more than one star till they fix the description. Order the two pack of this camera and both times I received a box saying two pack but only one camera was in the box.

Great Cameras - Lousy Support

Amcrest has been my choice for imported cameras from China for several years. Before Amcrest, security cameras came from Hikvision, Swan and other Chinese-branded sources. I was wary of Amcrest but finally yielded as their pricing gradually became better than ordering direct from China. The cameras have grown to be more robust and last longer. They are also easier to set up and integrate with Blue Iris management.Amcrest also has a good return policy integrated with Amazon. However, the support department at Amcrest is virtually non-existent. As long as your questions fit into the FAQ files on Amcrest, you're good. However, for a more complex problem, Amcrest basically doesn't respond. I've had a "ticket" in with Amcrest for three weeks and other than"Zendesk" acknowledging receipt, there has been no response whatsoever.

Amcrest seems to be the best supported IP POE camera out there

I've had many IP cameras over the years, connected to many different surveillance applications (QNAP Surveillance Station, Zoneminder, Netcam Studio, Frigate, iSpy, many more...). I have settled on Frigate for about 2 years now, mostly because of its AI capabilities utilizing a TPU, MQTT and HTTP APIs, and lack of false positives from the camera's point of view. But throughout those years of trying many different cameras on those many different systems, I realized early on that no application runs very reliably if the cameras aren't stable. RTSP is a complex protocol, with a great deal of dependencies on the RTSP standard, of which many camera manufacturers don't follow precisely (especially ReoLink!).Amcrest cameras, while not the cheapest, are by far the most reliable and stable cameras that I have tried in the open-source IP camera surveillance world. Customer support is at worst always there, and always responsive. They have easy to find firmware libraries, also allowing you to downgrade if the latest update breaks something in your setup, and finally they are the only ONVIF capable camera I have encountered to offer an RTMP push to streaming servers, a great way to proxy a source to many different protocols, applications and systems.I am slowly replacing all of my cameras (GWSecurity, Reolink, Anpviz, SV3C, Jennov, Dahua) with the comparable Amcrest version. 4 down only 10 to go. To be fair Duhua was the best of these other cameras, closely followed by GWSecurity). But I want all of my cameras to use the identical RTSP protocols for compatibilities sake.Anyone want to buy a used CheapChinese camera?

Very Good Home Surveillance Camera

I purchased two of these to add to my camera system around my home. In the past, I have used wireless cameras, but my wireless network (2.4g) was getting overloaded and the cameras were starting to drop out once and a while. These units are POE (Power Over Ethernet) capable cameras. That makes them hard wired and not susceptible to the wireless collisions and faster and wider bandwidth. They were very easy to set up and the video is excellent. I actually cut the pixels down to 1080 to not overload my camera controller. They can also be powered separately. Still hard wired but not using a POE switch. The connections come with good moisture control connectors and the camera is water resistant. I plan on getting more as I replace some of my wireless units.
