Will it keep my chicks warm enough?

Yes. It provides gentle radiant warmth - like a mother hen-warming chicks directly, not the whole brooder. They move in and out to find their own comfort zone. If they’re huddled tightly, lower the plate slightly.

Can I use it outdoors?

No. Until fully feathered, chicks need steady warmth to grow and thrive. Keep the brooder indoors above 50°F and away from drafts. Set the plate just above their backs and raise it as they grow.

Which size brooder plate do I need?

The 12"×8” EcoGlow 600 suits classrooms and small backyard broods - about 12-20 chicks depending on size and species. For larger or faster growing groups, choose the 17"×11” EcoGlow 1200.

Our low voltage, low wattage radiant design stays at controlled temperatures, avoiding the extreme heat of traditional lamps or 110v plates and helping reduce common burn or fire concerns.

Why should I spend more on a Brinsea product?

Since 1976, Brinsea has set the standard in incubation. Every product is built to the highest standards, covered for 3 years and supported by a knowledgeable Florida‑based team - quality that pays off over time.
