I need fragrance free, does this have a smell?

Yes and no. Ingredients listed are: Isopropyl Alcohol, Butyl Ester of PVM/MA Copolymer, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate. It does have an initial strong Isopropyl Alcohol smell, then a nail polish like smell. After applied to the skin and dried, there is a very faint chemical smell. I do not see that a fragrance is specifically added to the product. Hope this helps.

Can I rub it on the skin before a needle penetrates the skin? (In the application of using a Libre diabetic sensor.)

That's what you are supposed to do. Leave an area around the size of a pencil eraser clear (NO Skin-Prep) where the needle will penetrate the skin. Only apply the Skin-Prep where the adhesive is going to stick.

Can these be used with a CGM device?

YES !!! I use these for mine & have not had any "fall off" since I started using them. I also use them for my Insulin Pump

Used patch over freestyle libre sensor, patch super adhesive painful to remove. Do I use this before applying patch & much less pain removing patch?

You use this product before applying freestyle libre as you would to clean the area. We found another product that helps the sensor to stick and stay in place. It is called Skin Tac Wipe and adhesive barrier wipe. Your wipe the area where you are placing the new sensor. Wait for it to dry then apply the sensor. It will stay on for the entire 14 days. It is hard to remove. When I remove it I need to tug it gently to remove. Sometimes a thin layer from the sensor remains on the arm. I hope this answer is helpful. You can use to Skin prep wipes to help in this effort.

This is a must! Make sure to purchase for placing Dexcoms

If your child is using a Dexcom this is the best thing to put on after you do the alcohol on skin where you are placing the Dex. We let the alcohols completely dry then do the whole area where the Dex will be going and the adhesive will be covering. It stopped my son from getting nasty rashes from the Dex and over patch. If you have a Dex or similar you need to get this!! Your child will not complain about itching and it holds the adhesive a lot better. We buy all the time when our supplies is getting low. This is a must, especially when you are changing it every 10 days

Smith&Nephew Skin Prep Barrier Pads help protect sensitive skin

Helpful skin barrier for CGM adhesive allergy. I remembered these from working in the hospital as a nurse. They work well & provide extra stick for good adhesion of CGM, the cover, and overpatch. My steps: 1) Clean area with alcohol prep pad. Allow to dry. 2) Apply Smith&Nephew Skin Barrier Wipe. Allow to dry. 3) Insert CGM device on the dry, prepped skin area. (Follow your CGM's instructions for insertion & seal) 4) Use a 2nd Smith&Nephew Skin Prep Barrier pad to wipe around newly inserted CGM. Allow to dry. 5) Apply overpatch & seal.
