Can I use soundproof caulking (Green Glue) to install these to my walls

Can be easily installed with glue, which is easier than foam sound-absorbing panels

What is the exact weight of each panel ?

I don't know the exact weight, but I would estimate 2 to 3 pounds each. I mounted mine to a wall using 2 small finish nails for each panel, directly into the drywall, and I haven't had any problems.

Question 3

Wouldn't sound find its way or seep through spaces between or next to each panel?

Accepted Answer

Any uncovered wall is going to transfer sound as it normally does. The panels fit tight together 
(if you want them to), so any sound bleed will be minimal. Sound waves transfer through solid surfaces, therefore the idea is to add "dead" air space, which is very inefficient at transferring sound waves. All the tiny pockets of trapped air in these panels is "dead" air.

Question 4

Will these work on a wall by a bird cage to reduce squawking noise from a Quaker Parrot? Would like to hear less in the rooms next to hers.

These panels will reduce common noises quite well as they are made of a dense material. My office is now annoyingly quiet since putting them on a single wall. I'm certain the noise from a Parrot would be reduced, but I'm not sure it would be enough, depending on the volume and pitch of your parrot's voice. You may have to put panels on both sides of the wall to get the benefits you are wanting. I'm glad I bought mine and would consider buying more if they ever go on sale. Also, if you consider how much any painting of this size would cost, this is very affordable by comparison, so at a minimum you have a cool art piece!
