Best acoustic effects ever, surely.
Such a neat box of acoustic magic - great reverb, delay, chorus & very nice warm pre-amp. You can run it as an effects unit to an amp or as a d/I box. Brilliant. I have used it with an acoustic guitar going straight into a pa & also to add a little sparkle to my venerable Gibson ES125 going into an amp - the unit was perfect on both occasions. The construction is effective & sturdy, it is small & so easy to carry round (if you have big feet, you might need to work on finessing your switch stomping as they are obviously a bit close together), it comes with a power supply & - thank you Sonicake - is very affordable. Highly highly recommend this unit.

Bargain Acoustic Pedal - Great for the occasional live player..
I have to say again, it's a bargain. Build Quality Well made metal casing, feels durable and will last. The buttons feel small to big hands, but work well enough. I have no concerns this will break anytime soon. It has a very useful XLR DI out, this seriously helps when plugging into a mixing desk. The PSU is include, which is nice. But, it's a bit flimsy, I've not got high hopes for that living a long life, but its a great addition to get you started. Sound For the price, it sounds much better than it should. I can hear it has digital undertows, but the effects all work well and are convincingly good. Changing settings is a bit fiddly, they are quite sensitive, but with a bit of tweaking you can get some pretty decent sounds from this humble pedal. It certainly will help you sound better at a open mic where you don't usually get much choice. Has built in tap tempo, but the awkward one where you have to press and hold switches. That said, for £60, pretty awesome if you have the patience to use it. Pre amp - calms down the tone of your guitar and makes it sound balanced, there is definitely some compression going on, it's reasonably subtle and doesn't add much volume. Chorus - This one stands out, it's full and surprisingly lush sounding. Only downside is it can be quickly overbearing if you push it. So I use it subtlety. Delay - Is an analogue type delay effect, does what it says on the tin. Reverb - Sounds like Hall to me, this really livens up the depth and range, esp good if you're a picker. Can be very dark if you push it.. I've used at home and in a live setting, I have to say I really like it. It's perfect for beginners and guitarists who occasionally record or play live acoustic shows. It definitely makes your guitar stand out and I've had some raised eyebrows when discussing it with my muso mates. I'm not sure the others in the range are quite as convincing, but the Sonicwood is a little bit of a diamond in the rough..

Value for money
This is a terrific set of effects in one very neat pedal and will enhance the fun, enjoyment and sound of your acoustic guitar! Initially I didn't see how to set up and vary the effects as when you tap the main effect buttons there is a row of lights above each and these lights are actually also the variable knobs with differing uses on each tiny knob Though tiny, once you see them the little lit knobs have indicator marks and give various levels of each effect as you turn them and you can also change these effects duration etc using the main button so there are lots of differing sounds that can be added to your guitar's repertoire Amazing value for money giving many effects in one very neat housing and very sturdy as the casing is metal and the pedal looks like it will give years of excellent service Highly recommended!

No nonsense FX
I mostly play acoustic, with modest amplification. I've got a pedalboard made up from separate units plus PSU and its bulky, heavy and there's a lot of connections to cause trouble. I also bought a fancy digital MultiFX pedal which is far too complex for my liking. This Sonicake "Wood" device is great, its portable, easy to set up, the effects are first class and I find it worth every penny.

Slight background noise, but not a real problem.
Works well with both my electro-acoustic guitar and my Strat. Why the Strat? I'm a Hank Marvin clean turned up to 11 kind of player so I have no need for distortion type features, and this seems to meet my needs. It seems best to try it with everything turned half way and adjust from there - usually down. I have knocked a star off because of background buzz. That's probably a bit mean, as I've never found a pedal which didn't have some noise, and this is probably the best of the lot. Being a simple dining room player the background noise I do notice while I'm not playing but the sound of the guitar soon covers it, and the effects are very good. 4.75 stars would be a fairer score!

Small and easy to use.
The hubby plays both acoustic and electric guitar. He has loads of pedals but was looking for something small for a live acoustic set. Saw some videos on this and thought he'd give it a try. He's very happy with it so far. Easy to use, preamp and effects are good and compared to his other gear, its tiny. Has used it live a few times now and loves it (till he 'needs' to buy something else lol).

Multi effects (acoustic)
Cheap multi effects pedal for acoustic. Does the job. Not keen in the coloured lights.

Oui mais...
Un beau produit mais ne permet pas de vraiment transformer le son de sa guitare. Le preampli n'est pas fameux. Rendu du son trop criard.

Good clean effects in a convenient package.
There are all sorts of acoustic pickups both active and passive, I tried this unit on an acoustic with active pickups and a semi-acoustic with passive pickups. For the most part there was little difference other than setting the pre-amp controls , if the pre-amp is set flat on the tone controls at full volume it maintains the same volume as the signal going in, it is not a volume boost , it is a volume control that will keep the signal from clipping. The 2 tone controls will add volume in each of their ranges, basically complementing the sound of the standard 4 band active pickups being used today, giving a richer sound. The unit is a nice compact size with the switches at a comfortable distance to use , and all of the sections can be used simultaneously without taxing the power supply (included) or making the lights fllicker. The reverb effect is pretty simmple , one control , and goes from subtle to driving surf sound. The echo has a nice sound with typical feedback and intensity and speed controls, sounds nice on its own . The chorus I found absolutely amazing it had a richer fuller sound than I have found on most separate chorus pedals I found myself turning it on often because it sounded so good. I tried also with an electric guitar , the quality comes out there as well, and it sounds great with an off-board distortion unit too.

Solid Pedal with Nice Chorus, but Underwhelming Reverb
I have used the pedal for over 6 months now. It's sturdy and has caused no problems so far. I am not very impressed with the reverb, but the chorus is nice, and the delay is effective. Overall, it's a great pedal for acoustic guitar owners.
