how often should i replace them?

It really depends. I've been using a single pair in my office work shoes since mid-April. For the first few months, they worked exactly as advertised. It is now August 18 and I can tell the inserts are starting to stink only after I take off my shoes. Be sure you are airing out your shoes and insoles overnight by taking out the insoles and leaving them near a vent or fan. If that is impossible, I would recommend wearing a different pair of shoes every other day to allow drying. I heard that these inserts can be "re-activated" by leaving out in the sun for a period of time, but I have not tried this. To answer your question however, in my case, 8.5 hour days same shoes, 5 day work weeks, it lasts at least two and a half months for optimal odor prevention. I'll be happy to answer any additional questions.

Are these better than Odor-Eater insoles in terms of comfort and sweat absorption?

In My personal opinion, I like these best. Of course it all depends on personal use but these work better for me. Hope this helps
