Anyone else have these arrive slightly damp?

All of our sponges should be damp when you open the package. A saltwater solution is added to keep them pliable and fresh in the package until they are ready to use. It is non-harmful and ready to use straight from the package. Thanks for asking!

Are these suitable for auto-glass? Will it scratch glass like the green pads will?

I'm not entirely sure, because I have not used it for auto glass. But, I can tell you that they do not scratch anything that I have used them on (like the green ones would).

can I put these in the microwave to kill off bacteria?

fyi.. this does not kill of bacteria. bacteria like warm dark moist. all three or just 1 of the three. bleach is the only thing that kills bacteria. otherwise ANYTHING else will reduce the amount of bacteria.

What's with the sponges turning the water blue? Will it stain clothing you are wearing? Are they safe to use?

I have used these sponges for several years now. If a sponge turns the water blue, then it is usually only during the first use. I have never had an issue with staining clothing.
