God's Little Princess Bedtime Devotional Review: but this book goes that extra step to put the ideas in a context that is easy for a young girl to understand - I got this devotional for my daughter, 5 years old, who was having a hard time with fears and worries. We already pray together at night and I had already started finding reassuring verses to share with her, but this book goes that extra step to put the ideas in a context that is easy for a young girl to understand. The length is perfect, one page per night that is easily read in a minute or two, headed by a bible verse and then the author's thoughts. The scenarios are gentle, not scary, and they are vague enough to get the idea across without focus on the negative. The devotionals focus on the love and promises of God and his care for us, which is exactly what we were looking for. The facing page of each devotional has ideas for how to extend the idea, and they started out fun, but by the middle of the book these ideas were lengthy games and activities which might be wonderful but which don't fit in to our bedtime idea at all, not helping the kid go to sleep but rather giving me a lot of work to do and the kid a good, long reason to stay up, so I have been editing and only reading those when they work for us. It would be cool if the author put out a book with those ideas for creative and purpose-driven play activities for kids and their parents, maybe a book especially aimed at the different issues kids face and these ideas for addressing them? The artwork is adorable, the messages biblical, the ideas all good even when they don't work for us, and the rhyming little prayers are cute. My daughter is going through a phase of not wanting to pray aloud with me at night like she used to and says she doesn't know what to say, and I am hoping all these simple, good prayers will help her when she feels ready to come up with her own words again. Overall, this was perfect, exactly what I was looking for, and it has indeed helped us very much. Side note: We were given the original story picture book by this author as a gift, and we did not find it nearly as wonderful. The little girl in the book is spoiled beyond belief, the parents don't take the time to explain anything to her, and the girl is allowed to treat her "best friend" like her servant. Even my daughter was appalled and said she would never act that way (thank goodness!) and we gave the book away. We felt it gave the wrong message - the idea that a princess means jewels, servants and having what you want -- and failed to truly explain what being God's princess really means. Review: Great little book - I got this to help re-enforce daily life guidance and provoke thinking about Jesus and living for Him. I read it to my 6 and 7 year old daughters every night during our bedtime routine. We are about half-way through it now. They love it so much. They won't allow me to skip a night when I am super tired. The reading is very short, less then a minute long. But sometimes I talk about what we just read a little more to make sure they understand. I have seen my girl's growth towards Jesus and trusting in Him more with this book. I have also benefited from the book myself in my own life! Well worth the money, wish I had gotten it sooner, but God's timing is always right.

Perfect in so many ways!
I purchased this book for my four-year-old Princess Granddaughter. First, the quality is superb including the “jewels” in the crown on the cover. The illustrations are precious and the content is incredible. It applies scripture to daily life lessons and prayers. My granddaughter is also using it to learn to read and the “Goodnight Giggles and Grace” section is perfect for that. I LOVE this book and she does too!

Christian morals & values
We just finished this devotional again. I have 4 girls and it has made it through the 3rd so far. My 5 year old gets so excited for bedtime for her “denoshivul.” My 8 year old still likes to listen in on this one. One night when I finished up, she asked, “Mom, how come I feel like like the devotional is speaking right to me and my life each night?” It was such a sweet moment and opened the door for a beautiful discussion. We have many devotionals, books, and Bibles that we love, this is one of them. Don't limit yourself to the 7 year old max age suggestion, these topics can open the doors for many discussions. Another review mentioned that it doesn’t have Bible stories in it, well no, that would be in a different type of book. This one speaks to every day Christian life, morals, and values for your little princess. It’s a great one!

It's great. Daughter LOVES it.
My 7 year old daughter throughly enjoys this devotional. We read from it literally every night. Tonight she realized we had 13 pages left and got sad and asked to buy another one. Hopefully I can find one we enjoy as much as we have enjoyed this one. She already can't wait til baby sister is a bit bigger so she can read it to her too. I dont personally like the goodnight giggles and grace because it can and will get her riled up before bed so I usually have her imagine it as she drifts off to sleep to encourage good dreams.

Thought provoking for young girls
I bought this to complete with my two girls ages 6 and 7, and they love reading this each day! My girls’ only complaint is that there is not a section to write this thoughts- but they only wanted this after seeing their older sisters devotional with space to write. Otherwise this is age appropriate and easy for them to apply to their little lives!

Accessibility and Engagement
This book is so cute. I bought it for my 4 year old for Christmas so that we can get into the habit of daily devotionals. It's taking her a little while to get into it, but the book itself is wonderful. It's perfect for her age, and very accessible. I love the little daily "activities" of sort. It's nicely illustrated in a way that grabs her attention, but not overdone where it takes away from the content/message.

Couldn't be more happier with this purchase. Bought as a gift, and would definitely purchase again and recommend to others. Quality product. Could be given on its own as a gift as it exudes quality. Excellent purchase.

Beautifully written to teach biblical truths in an understandable way for little girls. Gorgeous little activities like counting stars to reinforce the point. Love this!
