Just as good as "Nichols" only you get 12 for the price of 1 or 2
OK, chainsaw files don't last long. Good saw chains are HARD and will dull your file, no way around it. Getting 12 at once is great. These last as long as any I've ever used. I don't cut firewood professionally, but the only heat source we've had for 50 years is Fisher wood stoves, cutting windfalls and dead trees on our property. I get out a new file each fall and use it for that year. So they hold up as well as any, and are cheap enough to treat myself to a new one each year. The best way to hand-file a chain that I have found is to put the saw in a bucket handle down, so the bar sticks up. This makes it much easier to file into the tooth instead of down toward the bar. (The cutting surface is the top and side of the tooth; filing toward the bar doesn't help.) Tie a bit of string around the chain at the starting point, it won't hurt the bar or sprocket and it's easy to see where you started.

Great files
I have been hand filing my chains saw chains for years now. Oregon is my go to for round filing. Good bite and they last as long as anything I have used. Some filing advice. Buy a good product but know when it is done and grace a new one. Should take less than 20 minutes to file and 18โ bar.
