The best chloride test I've ever found. Minor learning curve; wait for the line across the top of the scale to turn black. It will, eventually.

This is a lovely simple product to use for measuring chloride. Readings were generally about 10 mg/L lower than lab results (for readings around 80-100 mg/L. The huge problem with this product is the stupid design, where they have large numbers in the center of the column. You are trying to read the outcome, and if the result is within the vicinity of one of those large numbers, you have a tough time obtaining an exact value. Had they simply placed the numbers to either side of the column, readings would be much easier. This is an issue quite literally about one-third of the time, making it all the more remarkable that they keep selling them with this unnecessary impairment.

I need these for lab testing. The price has soared in recent years. They work well and are reasonably accurate.

Use QuanTabs to run quick tests for chlorides in water samples. Samples that are hot go to a certified lab for further testing.

Seems to work as advertised. Great when handheld instruments need double checked.
