Excellent beginner’s chess set and very portable. I like how they designed the board which folds neatly away in the box with all the pieces. DGT makes great quality and good looking products that are functional, durable, and aesthetically pleasing. Pieces have a nice balanced weight to them, good feel, and the colors of the pieces with the board are easy on the eye - nothing too bright or too dark. I highly recommend this for beginners, or even advanced players who like the portability. But please note, this set does not include extra queens, so you’ll have to improvise when you promote a pawn. It would be nice if DGT offered the option to buy extra pieces.

Good set, quality board and pieces. Not including an extra queen for promotion is a stunning oversight for something made by the official FIDE chess clock manufacturer.

The pieces are ok, smaller and lighter than the ones used in tournaments. The board was flimsy and fell apart immediately. No happy.

I’ve been using this set for over six months now, its an amazing chess set that we use nearly every day! The pieces feel strong, durable, well-weighted, and nicely balanced. The folding board, though made of cardboard, is holding up really well and offers great contrast that makes the pieces easy to see, and it also has notations which is handy. The only downside with this set is that it comes with only one set of queens. It would be great if DGT included extra queens or made them available for purchase. I also tried the similar World Chess Academy set, but the DGT set is definitely the better of the two.

Je l'ai acheté parce qu'il était utilisé au concours d'échec du Festival de Cannes en 2024. Je ne sais pas si c'est un jour officiel mais les pièces sont vraiment parfaites il est parfaitement rangé et on peut s'en servir n'importe où. C'est un cadeau formidable pour Noël si jamais vous voulez faire un cadeau qui soit d'un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Bien sûr il faut que la personne aime les échecs (je parle du jeu, ahahaha).
