Incredibly sharp, effective pair of shears
These shears made quick work of the tough weeds and pasture grass encountered in South Central Florida lawns. These shears are far superior to standard hand held grass clippers. They look like they might be unwieldy or awkward to use, but I found them easy to use and their hefty feel was not a problem. They cut through the toughest weeds and grass like butter. To avoid injury, use the scabbard that is included to keep from injuring yourself on the blade tips. The only question I have now, is: how long will the blades maintain their edge? Time will tell, and I will follow up with that information. If the blades do maintain their edge, and the pivot point is well designed, these would also make excellent utility shears. I was out in the garage detailing my car, and wanted a small cloth to use for applying wax in a small space. I used these shears to cut a small piece off of a nearby towel. It worked perfectly. Except for the size of these shears, I think they would make excellent household utility shears

Grass shears
It does the job, however, the tip cover is missing when I received the package.

As finely made as any fine tool, and easy to use, even for a long time, without hand fatique.
I was a little reluctant to spend this much for grass clippers. Once I received the King's County clippers and tried them out, there is no way I will let go of them. They are easy to use, The blades are made properly: thin, high carbon tool steel; NOT stainless. Stainless steel isn't as sharp as high carbon tool steel; and these blades are, first and foremost, sharp! They can also be removed from the handle, so I can sharpen them easily on my King Japanese water stones. Just keep them clean and dry and store them with a little oil on the blades so they will last a long time.

Solid, well-built clipper for small to medium jobs
This is a great product! I ordered a battery-powered hedge trimmer but returned it after seeing a gardener using this type of tool and realized the hedge trimmer was over-kill for what I needed to do: shape a hedge where branches weren't more than an 1/8" thick. I just needed to tidy things up, not give the hedge a full-blown haircut. I spent 45-minutes shaping, going slowly from left to right, bottom to top until I felt things looked right. This trimmer takes off enough, but not too much. I expected my hand to be sore the next day, but it wasn't. If you're trimming a mature boxwood, this tool is inadequate. But for a trimming of a few errant branches...perfect!
