i have VERY STRAIGHT and THICK asian hair. it's hard to find products that my hair will cooperate with but this one works great for me. it gives my hair volume and it makes it look textured. i prefer this over pomade. it makes my hair have a matte look. i was worried that the powder will solidify when rubbing on my hair that it will make it look like i have dandruff/dirt on it but it doesn't! it doesn't leave any residue after applying and it smells great too. the only downside is that it makes your hair hard to wet when showering making it hard to wash off completely. it also leaves a stiff feeling to your hair after a shower if you apply too much. i always shower 2-3 times a day depending on how much physical activity i do (i workout, work 10 hour shifts, go to college and work with different animals at the clinic, shelter or zoo) but even after washing and shampooing my hair 2 times it still leaves a stiff feeling but it goes away after another day of showering and not using the product

Excellent styling powder. I have very stubborn hair that doesn't like to be styled with gel or spray. My hair still fights this powder, but to give it its credit, it does do a very good job wrangling it! With a proper brush it gives me hair a lifted and voluminous appearance without the slime and residue. I find I can get a couple of days out of one application, and then it washes out easily in the shower. Bottle is appropriately sized. With my usage one container lasts about 3 months. Don't feel pressure to spring for a larger size unless you are reapplying daily or multiple times a day. No issues with leakage as other reviewers seem to have experienced. It will get everywhere so be cautious applying if you are already wearing a shirt.

I loved how quick it works on my hair as my hair is not really easy to style with (thick black hair). It can easily be used to hold your hair to a certain volume. Hair may be frizzled if used too often but that comes with every styling powder. It is cheap and easy to use!

On the plus side, it definitely delivers on the "no grease" promise. It’s completely matte and doesn't leave your hair feeling oily or weighed down, which is great if you hate the shiny look of traditional gels or pomades. It’s also super easy to shake in and blend. However, the texture just wasn't for us. It feels a bit strange in the hair—almost like a dry, slightly tacky dust—and it didn't provide the level of hold we were expecting. It works okay for a very messy, "just rolled out of bed" style, but if you have thicker hair or are trying to keep a specific shape in place all day, it just doesn't have the strength to hold up. By lunchtime, the volume had mostly fallen flat. It’s a decent option if you want something extremely subtle and lightweight, but if you’re looking for a product with a reliable, all-day grip, you might find this a little underwhelming. It’s a bit too "light" for our needs!

This is a great hair styling product. I am an older woman who has always had thin, baby fine hair. The styling powder is one of the products I can use a day or two after shampooing, to restyle and fluff up my hair until the next wash. You start out with a little powder in your hand and briskly massage through your hair, adding a bit more if needed. I use a light hair spray and it is not sticky, does not leave flakes in your hair, builds the volume of the hair as intended. it is a nice size product and I will definitely order again. there is no scent.

It works exceedingly well for my very fine and straight hair, giving it volume and texture. It maintains its hold throughout the whole day, and having tried a few other hair products, this is the best one I’ve used for styling, so far. I’ve been using for a few weeks now, and washes out just fine. I am yet to find out how long it lasts, but by weight estimation, it expect it to last maybe a month or two with regular use. The only negative is that it must be kept upright, even with the lid on, because there is a space between the lid and the rest of the container that the powder can gather in, and is impossible to collect up, so is a bit of a waste. Still giving it 5 stars because despite this, it does its job so, so well.
