As a lover of curry and Southeast Asian food, I was thrilled to see this healthy vegetarian option. I personally found it to be mildly spiced and not too salty. I love it so much that I will be using it for lunch at work and light meals/snacks in the cold weather as well as starting an Amazon subscription so I can get it every month!

This is absolutely delicious for a fall camping when it’s a bit chilly out. I split with 2 other friends and it fed us well and we LOVE to eat. I will give a warning shake it up a bit before putting the water and shake with the water. The salt and flavors tend to fall to the bottom so the first few bites were bland and it got very salty at the end for us. But it’s so good and a good hint of spice!

I did not realize that this was packaged in a can that would need a can opener, that is no issue since I always have a can opener on hand. It makes sense how it can last 25 years on the shelf. The manufacture date is from this year which is reassuring.

I took 16 servings of this on a 200 mile backpacking trip. I spit out the first bite. It was so bad that the next day I dug a hole and buried it instead of carrying the dead weight 200 miles. It's hard to find something that's actually worse than meal bars. But when all I had was this and meal bars, I ate meal bars. If you're looking for pre-made dehydrated food, I recommend creative folks like Outdoor Herbivore. (Don't tell the vegetarians over there, but I added salami slices.)

Wayyyyy to spicy for a camping meal. Though it taste just ok, it will cause you to drink tons and tons of water. SO, maybe ok as a home meal but definitely not on the road or camping.
