Bought these to make Victron VE Direct usb cables. Quick soldering project that saved me a lot of money. I swapped the red and yellow pins so that when I soldered them together it was black to black, white to white, and green to yellow. Red is not used. I also shaved down the little plastic retaining nubs on the connector, to make them easier to unplug. There isn’t enough plastic to grip and pull from so you end up having to pull on the wires. I was worried I was going to pull a wire out of the connector.

Less expensive and less frustrating. Buying a crimper and building these myself. I only needed one that was pre-terminated. This was the lowest price and it came with so many, it didn't matter that there was one other in the batch that had a damage to the yellow wire insulation. But like I said, all the rest were fine and I only needed one. It was still cheaper than buying the crimper and doing it myself. 5 stars

These fit the VE.smart ports as long as you are careful. They work for making a DIY VE direct cable. However, the wire is not shielded, so consistent data connections can be problematic for that useage. Otherwise, the work fine.

I hate making cables, these pre-made ones are great. I would buy again.

I water cooled my Gigabyte Gaming OC 3080 ti. I wanted to use the existing 4 pin fan headers and 3 pin ARGB header that was on my card. These worked great. For the 3 pin ARGB or DRGB header I simply cut off the 4th pin on this cable to turn it into a 3 pin as I wasn't going to buy a 10 pack to only use one connector. To find the correct pins I took the fan that I removed and connected them to a power supply that I set to 5v to avoid any issues if I connected them wrong. Using the original 4 pin motherboard fan header, it would be a 50/50. To find out the pinout on the 3 pin ARGB header I took apart the original aRGB light to find out which pin or wire was labeled. The +5v pin is the one that has a mark or labeled, the data will be the next pin followed by the ground.

This is what it looks like. No surprises here. Works just fine.

They are okay if you are making your own PCB, but if you want to attach them to a perfboard they will not fit.
