Enjoying these books and the recordings with my grandchildren who are four and two years old. Recordings are clear and the device fun to use.

This has been a huge hit for my daughter. She uses it almost daily for quiet time for 2 months and still isn’t bored of it. Has a good amount of variety of stories and songs. Has parts that use the actual characters voices. She doesn’t use the books with the read allow stories by herself. I have to turn the pages of the book, they’re thin and can be hard to turn. But just the read aloud part is very much worth it in my eyes.

This is an amazing toy for my granddaughter. It's sturdy and the books are very durable. I'm sure she will enjoy this for a few years. The books are bright and colorfully. The player has two sound levels and that's a plus for her mother. 😂

This was the #1 Christmas gift my 3 year old daughter received this year! She can play the stories and songs independently and it entertains her for hours! It actually keeps her off the TV because she'll play with this and "read" the books instead of watching Daniel Tiger on TV. She has memorized the songs and even sings them to her little twin brothers in applicable situations (i.e. "Grown-ups come back..." when one of them is crying during a separation with me). We absolutely love this storyteller, the songs, and the books! If your child is a fan of Daniel Tiger, this is the perfect gift!!

Yes, some quotes are the actual characters but a lot of the reading is a stiff artificial intelligence voice, like the voice on a defibrillator (!). It would get on my nerves but the kids don’t seem to care or notice. There is a trolley ding to indicate it is time to turn the page. They also have the little jingles within the right story as it is read. The song dial is the full song version which corresponds to the part in the show at the end with the verses and band. HOWEVER, the songs on the dial DO NOT necessarily match the book selection. My girls keep trying to find the song that matches the book they just finished but there isn’t one. The audio quality is not great as speakers go but it is just a kid toy after all…(the “quiet” setting is plenty loud!) One really great thing is my almost 4 and 6 yr old can easily understand how to run the reader themselves.

My 4 year old got it for his birthday but honestly wasn’t too interested after a day. I thought it would be something he could do by himself if needed or in the car. Luckily, my two year old is just as obsessed with Daniel tiger so we use it every night with her now. But mainly just one story because she’s obsessed with baby Margaret and only wants that specific book. But she’ll occasionally press the button to listen to the songs. She has also figured out where the dial needs to be to hear her specific book and which button to press if she wants songs. So it’s pretty easy to navigate for a young child. There are two volume options which we all know as overstimulated parents is a huge plus. The music is clear and great and so are the stories. There is a little trolly ding after each page so you know when to turn the page. Plus what parent doesn’t like a break from reading a story every now and then.

My daughter has played with this music player and storyteller daily for over a month. She loves looking at the books while listening to the stories and we also read the books when we don’t want to use the player. The player has done well with a few drops and the batteries are still going strong. Our girl LOVES the Daniel Tiger universe and this is her most used toy at the moment.

1. The amount of little books alone is worth the price. 2. They put snippets of the actual episode audio in the read aloud. These parts are highlighted in a different color in the books. So, you can actually hear Daniel or Jodi or Dad Tiger (etc) say the phrases exactly how they say it in the show. 3. SUPER easy for a toddler to work by themselves. You turn the dial to whichever song or story, and then press the dial to start. If you want it to stop/pause, just press the dial again. Want to resume? Press the dial. Now your kid can listen to the same song over and over and over and over without you doing anything. 4. DURABLE. It's been dropped a lot. Still works! 5. TWO volume settings!!! I think the loud setting is a bit too loud, but I'm sure it's helpful for when there's a lot of kids around, or for listening from a distance. The quieter setting is pretty normal.... like conversation level loudness. 6. It's been about 3/4 of a year since we got it, and we still haven't had to change the batteries. Given, there was a period of maybe 3 months where we hid it because everybody else couldn't stand hearing the stories or songs anymore because the toddler was OBSESSED with it. Like played with it for hours each day. HOURS. The toddler has calmed down a little since then and will oblige us if we ask them to take a break from it. I guess that is a downside, but the way I see it, either you're reading it or the storyteller is... and sometimes, we all just need Mom Tiger to take over.

Daughter loved it. After less than a month of use it just plays 2 seconds of the songs and stories before skipping over and over, to my daughters distress. Huge disappointment and upsetting for the child who loved this toy.
