This is the second time we've bought this leash. The first time we bought it, we had a high-energy lab who pulled a lot! A trainer suggested this leash, as it's much easier on the hands. We now use that first leash for our english cream retriever, who along with a gentle lead, is a very good walker. The leash has held up well and has softened with age! We recently found a little dog, and while we waited for his owner to find him, I bought a cheaper fabric leash and halter for him. Even though he's little, he'd pull in all directions while walking, and I found the fabric leash to be hard on my hands. Since he's been with us several weeks now and the owners don't seem to be looking for him, I upgraded to this leash and a gentle lead, and he's much easier to walk now! This leash is great quality, long-lasting, great for training, and the perfect thickness and weight for dogs large and small. I'm very happy with this (repeat!) purchase!

Well made great quality leather leash. I also like it because it has a little springing us to it which allows my dog to move and not to be jerked.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I love the Leash. Years ago I had a leather leash similar to this because the trainer I was working with at the time recommended leather over the man-made materials because it reduces the chance of burning in your hands if pulled. This particular leash is one of the best I’ve ever used. It’s small and light, seems very durable and works for good control. I paired it with one of their rounded leather collars because those are much easier on the dogs for and won’t rub them raw or rub the fur off the dog. So far great pic, great product and a well-made leash. By the way, the hardware is great on this, very well-made and strong and durable from what I can see so far

Very comfortable. Nice soft leather not stiff like others say. Nice amount of "stretch" if you will. I can't say for how durable because ive only been for one walk she'd nothing out of the norm happened. It seems rather durable though. I was very impressed with the leather. It's not this Chinese pressed together "leather". The smell of it coming out of the box was a bit strong of chemicals. I washed it like it said to do and it's not nearly as bad. After time it will go away I'm sure. Upon first grab of the leash it didn't leave any stain residue but after missing with it/handling the leash it let off dies onto my hand so I recommend use Satle soap or satle lotion if you have some laying around to clean it. I am highly impressed I really like this leash and have already recommended it tonothers.

This is a nice leather leash. It is well crafted and looks like it will readily last for quite a while. As a trainer my preference is always a nice supple leather leash, and this fits the bill well.

I can honestly say for the price I was totally shocked at the quality of this product. Beautifully made and excellent quality leather. Will definitely use this company again

It's a very nice supple leather leash. It's easy to use and is strong. I have two medium-large dogs. I just have to make sure my dobi puppy doesn's chew it. It's easy to use during training or just walking. I prefer the braided leather near the hook to the collar. It doesn't give way when the dog pulls.

I was ready to be disappointed, considering the surprisingly low price... but the other reviews were right- this is an EXCELLENT lead. Well made, sturdy, and already softened to make it comfortable in the hand. The hardware was heavier/larger than i anticipated, but my dog will grow into it just fine. My concern was having a 6 foot lead that could handle a long life of use and stay SECURE, and that's what i received. Very pleased, and also the unexpected little gift they included was a lovely treat. Thank you!
