This breaks down easily with water and will rinse clean - you can restyle from there. To completely remove you will need to do at least a light shampoo.

what size is best for someone who would use it twice a week: 33.8, 16.9, or 8,5 oz? (as smaller wouldn't expire too soon, but larger is less $ per oz)

I bought the biggest bottle but use it every day. It doesn’t seems to dry up or separate but I think the 16.9 oz bottle would last you a very long time.
