DYING LIGHT Nightmare Row tells the terrifying story of Mel Wyatt, an 18-year-old American athlete who participated in the Harran 2015 Global Athletic Games two weeks earlier. As one of many Americans stranded in Harran as a result of the outbreak, Mel has been surviving with her little brother, Paul, in an isolated hotel – their parents were killed on the first day of the Infected attacks on the stadium. Thus begins a tense and ticking time bomb thriller of survival. Review: Great pre story - Good intro to Dying light and quick read. Helps fill in the gaps of the beginning of the game and a new look at the affected. Review: Make time for this, you won't put it down - This book is amazing! I even went into the game to try to find nightmare row.

Very good book; very bad puctuation
I really enjoyed the pace of the story, there was no filler in the book just to take up space. I did not want to put in down, and it was not a predictable zombie story either in my opinion. The only reason I did not give it a 5/5 is because there was very bad punctuation with the extreme over use of commas. There were multiple commas in almost every sentence which took away the immersion of the story at times, and it made me slightly angry too. I think someone needs to edit this book and re-publish it to Kindle format again. I do not think this is how Raymond Benson put it out, it seems like it was translated from English to another language, and then back to English from a non-native English speaker. I have read other novels from Raymond Benson, and his pseudonym of David Michaels, such as several Splinter Cell novels, and Artifact of Evil where the grammar and punctuation are perfect, so I know this did not come directly from him. This is still a good read as it is, but would be outstanding if the punctuation is fixed.

Don't hesitate, just buy it
That's certainly a great story, doesn't matter if you've played the game itself, you'll like it. Want a hardcover now)

More Dying Light? Oh Yisss...
I read fairly fast, but even for my standards I chewed through the book real quick. So let's take a look at what I liked and what I didn't like. More depth! Harran got more character, more local character at that. The cultural heritage stands out a little better, though I admit even the book didn't delve quite as deep as I might have hoped. Still. It was great to get to know more about the City state of Harran, its politics, and just what went wrong. I also really liked how it focused on the time just before the outbreak and then right after it, giving us that sense of just how quickly things deteriorated. We also learn more about the virus in it, in particular what it does to people, though we do not get to see a lot of special mutations. Which, I suppose, would make sense. Considering mutations take time. What I did't like so much? Hm. Let's see. I admit I was able to connect better with Dr. Abbas, rather than the actual protagonist Mel, but that might be because of the word count restriction of a 200 page novella. Mel could have used a little more time to grow. In fact, I think the whole novel would have benefited greatly from not having been condensed the way it was. There was an obvious attempt at highlighting the darkness of human nature, for one. That was what I was looking for. The horror. The bleakness. But it didn't quite come across, and again I blame the word count restriction. Rather than getting right down to the nitty gritty, things were merely brushed at. In closing, overall, I'd say its a nice, quick read, and if you like other video game tie in novels (which all follow a fairly simple formula) then I think you would enjoy this one. It's not the Halo novel series, more like Resident Evil, but with less horror. More depth would have definitely benefited the novel. And maybe it could have used another edit. Since English isn't my first language either I am not judging it by that though. I thought the writing was very publish-able.

Realistic!
The most interesting zombie fiction I've read til now due to the peculiarity of the main character and the realistic cause and effect scenes.

Es un gran libro, el material de la portada se siente muy suave, esta en ingles y no tiene fotos, estos ultimos son aclaraciones o descripciones del mismo

Excellent read
This was a great book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading and will read again. A must read for any fans of the game or just any zombie fans. Only let down for me, which is just a nitpick, the proof reading could have been better. I found several errors. But doesn’t affect how great the book is. I can’t wait for the new game to come out and I’d love to have a second book to read too!

I was more interested in the doctor
I didn't care for the main character I was hoping to see more of the doctor's story and the citizens of Harran it would be nice if the writer. wrote another book that focus on the people of Harran at the beginning of the outbreak.
