Cummins Onan 122-0800 Oil Filter

These are the OEM filters for my generators. I haven’t used them yet but expect them to work as they should.

My 79 5k generator in my motor home needed serviced. It had a black Onan filter and this Fleetguard is the perfect replacement. Same exact size as the 122-0800, but the bottom isn't ribbed for a filter socket, but I never use them anyway.

I have a Onan Marquis generator in my RV. The true Onan filter has the ridges around the bottom as the picture shows in order to fit the Onan Filter Wrench. You cannot tighten the new filter in place without those ridges unless I remove the generator from the RV and remove the side of the cover. I am not about to do that. The filter I was sent is packaged in a Onan box along with the part number however it is a Fleetguard that is totally smooth and I have no way to tighten it in place. This is not a true Onan part for the Marquis generator. Buyer beware, you do not get what you see in the picture, if you did then perfect.
