Actual warn motor
Don’t waste your hard earned money on a Chinese aftermarket motor. Spend the extra and get the oem motor. It is more powerful than the knock off. I purchased knock off and my winch wasn’t as strong. Wasn’t happy at all. Purchased original warn and I am on cloud 9. My winch is the beast it was originally. Aftermarket motor is used to hold open my door.

Great fix.
Bolted right up, had the winch up and running in less than 30 minutes. Saved the fire department a lot of money replacing this motor instead of replacing the winch on the truck. Price was right much less than ordering it through Warren, even though it is a Warren named motor.

poor design
WARNing........I have only used the winch one time in 5 years. It failed when i needed it most due to this motor. there are no o-rings or any other seal to keep water from entering the motor. The insides were completely rusted, and the brushes would not even move. Seems odd that warn would not properly protect the electrical components of a product meant to be used outdoors in harsh environments. Maybe its not the WARN it once was.

warn m 12000 motor replacement
fit is perfect . Turn winch up straight to line up shaft slides right in place . sealed all connection with high temp silicone to keep the water out .

Direct replacement on my M15000

Works
Brush end cap was dented from being dropped. I needed it back together and working so I straightened it out and put a bit of silicone around the mating surface to keep the water out.
