The preset combination is convenient if you do not want to deal with keys, and the dials are easy enough to use. Just keep in mind that this version has a preset code, so you cannot choose your own combination. That is not a problem for me, but it is worth knowing before ordering. This is best for basic everyday security, quick stops, kids’ bikes, scooters, or as a simple theft deterrent. I would not consider it a heavy-duty lock for leaving an expensive bike unattended for long periods in a high-risk area, but for the price and intended use, it works very well.
