Q: Is this long enough for rifle?

Hmmm--I don't know how long the rifle is, but this case is for a 1/2 size cello and I think that's approximately 44 inches long. This case is available in other sizes--the 3/4 size fits an instrument approximately 46" inches in total length, and the full size 4/4 cello is approximately 48 inches long. Maybe that will help you decide?

Q: Does the silver series 4/4 cello bag open all the way? Can the lid be flipped over out of the way?

Yes. It opens completely flat so the lid is out of the way.

Q: Is the Gold series (deluxe version) folded for shipping? I am interested in the size of the shipping box. Help please/

No it was not. It came in a large box. Its too well padded to be folded.

Q: What are the dimension sizes for the protec silver series 4/4 cello gig case

I can't tell exactly because I gave it away and bought the golden series instead, but when I used it, it did fit my 4/4 cello exactly, so it was properly snuggled. The reason why I changed it is because it wasn't properly padded.
