Why the extreme price markup?

For anyone coming upon this question late. Never buy from anyone who is selling computer components at an outrageous price. Know what the expected MSRP should be. These people are scalpers who buy all available retail to artificially create a shortage, so they can sell at 150 to 500% of MSRP. This is especially true of graphics cards at the moment, which are also in short supply due to cryptocurrency miners.

Also be aware, the scalpers are unlikely to properly package and honor any kind of warranty. In the case of AMD 5000 series processors. in late 2021 AMD began shipping B2 stepping - an improved product. Scalpers are probably stuck with the early production runs.

Because Amazon search feature is lacking quality to put it nicely. I find and get better results using Google define products that I want in Amazon. Amazon would be a fantastic place to shop for many things if they're search features actually work better.

Does this come with a cpu cooler?

It doesn't, due what it's normally used for, most people use this cpu and the 5950x for high end gaming, and others for lower end audio and video editing, and most of these people have their own cooling solutions already.
But for future notice when you're buying a cpu, the 3 or 4 in the top of the line usually don't have a cooling solution, you have to purchase one.

Why do i have to check every hour and nothing since launch for this 5900x and 6800xt and nothing shows either miners or bots pick them off???

Bots...  miners don’t need a high end cpu as they typically don’t use them to mine as the hash rate isn’t worth it. They just use high end graphic cards and usually many of them. Add to this the worldwide silicon shortage along with COVID and most people staying indoors and wanting something to do and you have a massive demand for a product.  They do seem to have the 5800x routinely in stock though.  I myself have been hunting a 5900x (for me) for a while now as well as the 3090 for a friend which is probably more difficult.  They usually sell out within a second or two.  My advice is to look on discord,  they have groups that track the stock of these items on it.   P.S. I am not a miner,  just someone looking to play games and build PC’s for fun.
