Leaves a nice even finish right out of the can. No drips, errors, or uneven spraying; works well! Multiple light application/coats is what you want for desired results. Pricing takes one star off yet convenience keeps it right at a solid four.

This was a 2 am “i’ll fix the rusty thing tomorrow” buy for my apartment balcony railing and some old PC rack shelves in the garage 😂. I sprayed the Seymour 16-45 on the flaky rust spots, waited a bit, and they turned into a black surface I could paint right away. No endless wire brushing, just a quick scrape and spray. I like that it dries into a nice matte black base, so my touch-up paint grabbed on fast and didn’t streak. The best moment was realizing I didn’t have to replace that rack shelf I’ve had since college. For once, lazy late-night scrolling actually saved me some work 🙂.

The big thing to know is you really want to do multiple light passes. I do a quick swipe, let it flash off, then repeat three or four times instead of trying to nail it in one go. When I tried one heavier coat on a test scrap, it looked a little gummy, so the light layers mattered. Once I stuck to that, my desk surface ended up looking clean and consistent.
