My dog loves the chicken flavor of this toothpaste and looks forward to her teeth brushed. It’ s easy to use and you can buy your own small toothbrush. Makes grooming easy! Highly recommend!

Overview: We have been using this toothpaste on our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels since we got them as puppies. They are now 2 years old with excellent teeth and gums! We tried the adult toothpaste when they turned one year old, but they did not like the chicken flavor. They absolutely love the peanut butter flavor, and the baking soda really helps with their breath. Every time that I take them to the vet, they are very happy with their teeth and gum condition. The last visit, the vet scored both dogs’ teeth and gums and gave our female a score of 0.2 out of 4, with 1 being the best and 4 the worst, and gave our male a 0.3 out of 4. I usually brush their teeth every 2-3 days. Arm & Hammer is a name that I have grown up with, and I have learned to trust their products over the years. This toothpaste is no exception. Pros: The Enzymes break down the tarter, which keeps their teeth clean and gums healthy. The baking soda helps with cleaning and also keeps their breath fresh. I consistently receive positive feedback from my vets for both dogs’ oral care. The peanut butter taste is well received by both dogs. It is cost effective. Cons: None noticed with the peanut butter flavor, however, they do not like the chicken flavor as much. Conclusion: This is a high-quality product, at an excellent price. Even though this states that it is for puppies, they both really like the taste, and we have been so satisfied with the results that we have continued with this product and will do so as long as we see these results.

First of all - I bought this for 2 reasons - the size and price! I’m very happy with it! My dogs are 11.5 years old (litter mates) and they’ve used the same enzymatic toothpaste their entire lives, until recently. But. I guess they reformulated it or something because both of my dogs started having stinky breath (despite the fact I brush their teeth daily). Their vet said their teeth and gums are beautiful and healthy - she had no medical explanation for the new onset of stinky breath in both dogs. No food changes. I was stumped. Until I figured their usual toothpaste must have changed. I searched for another enzymatic toothpaste for dogs and this one stood out for the price and value. Okay. So. It says it’s chicken flavored. I wasn’t brave enough to taste it but I get a strong scent of tortilla chip coming from my dogs mouths when I brush their teeth with this. Like - tortilla chip and maybe some baking soda. The dogs don’t love it but they don’t hate it. They hated a toothpaste I bought when I couldn’t find their regular one anywhere - so I know how they act when they hate it. They seem indifferent at first but once I start brushing - they get busy trying to lick the flavor so that’s a win. Like I said - don’t love it or hate it. I don’t love my toothpaste either but I don’t mind it. Here’s the best part!!!!!! That stinky breath I mentioned earlier? GONE. They have normal, healthy, brushed teeth dog breath again (different from unbrushed/bad teeth dog breath). Such a relief! I was kind of going crazy - stinky breath can make it seem like your whole dog stinks - it was such a bummer. I’m SO GLAD I switched to Arm & Hammer dog toothpaste. I absolutely will continue buying this and I’ll never look back to the one we had used for 11 years. This stuff is a winner! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!

I recently started using the Arm & Hammer Complete Care Enzymatic Dog Toothpaste on my dog, and while it's been a good experience, there are a few areas for improvement. The toothpaste is enhanced with baking soda, which does a great job of deodorizing bad breath. The chicken flavor is a hit with my dog; he enjoys the taste, which makes brushing his teeth less of a struggle. One of the standout features is the value size, providing more than twice the amount of the standard toothpaste. This has been convenient for us, as we can use it frequently without running out quickly. The directions for use are also straightforward, starting with a small amount on the finger and gradually introducing a toothbrush.

I have 4 dogs, German Shepherd, Border Collie and 2 Yorkies. I brush their teeth almost every morning and they tolerate it lol. They like the taste of the toothpaste and it seems to work really well as their breath smells fine and their teeth are white.

We have tried other brands but this is the only one our dogs like. They look forward to getting their teeth brushed! Great product!

I'm sure it works great if my dogs would allow me to put it on their teeth. So, this may sound crazy but I tried a bit of it to see why they don't like it since to me it smells like chicken thus, I thought, it must taste like chicken. Well, it doesn't. It's got a tiny bit of chicken taste but it mostly tastes of a weird minty taste... Hard to describe. But it is cooling on the tongue so there's got to be some kind of mint. I understand why they wouldn't like it since minty is not something dogs normally go for. I smear it on my new pack member's teeth anyway just because he has the worst breath I have ever smelled on a dog with decent teeth. I'll update the rating if it helps his breath. I only gave 3 stars at this time because they hate the taste and it's difficult to get them to use it.

Very easy to use since my dog is allowing it. The appearance is normal, have not noticed whitening yet. The dog likes the taste but not thrilled about it. The dog prefers real food.

My dog seems to like it, it smells like liver or something but although I don’t like it she does! Good size tube. It’s no better or worse than any other dog toothpaste for keeping her teeth clean but it’s a good price for the size of the tube.
